Ava/Eva/Evie/Isla/Amelia/Emilia/Emily for girls and Harry or Oliver for boys.

Interestingly, I've never met a Jack (adult or child - and I have a toddler.)

well, what age group...?

For adult women it's certainly Leonie, Sophie, Claudia, Anya/Anja, Salome, Raphaela, Flora and Leandra. Men... Well, Sebastian, Stephan, Thomas, Francesco, Bruno, Peter. (Not all of those are from the UK. Shoot... But I'm too lazy to go back and correct it).

Anyhow, for children:
Clementine, Florence, Eva/Avae etc, Sophie, Amelia, Isla.
Henry, George, Sebastian, Gabriel, Thomas, Oliver, Poppy...

Sorry slightly off topic but can everyone who is putting apostrophes in plurals stop it, it's wrong!
You mean Claras, Noahs, and Jameses (for example) not Clara's, Noah's and James's (or even worse, James').
I thank you. Over and out!

Rockaby · 13/05/2017 20:11

butterfly

I'm not one of the people you are addressing there, but when I type Noahs on my phone it autocorrects to Noah's. That might be why people do it. Over and out Grin.

All I know is that it's getting very confusing in our current Reception year as most of the girls are called Eva, Ava or Evie which sound very similar!

The really popular boys names here are Charlie, Henry and Theo.

In my local area there seem to be more Scottish names - don't think there's an Amelia in the whole school. George not popular either. Here it's:

Girls: Katie, Sophie, Isla
Boys: Jamie, Lewis, Callum

Lots of Sophie/Sophia's, 3 Alfie's, other than that there are no doubles in dd's year (year1) and reception.

Dd is an Amelia, and the only one in her school, although there is an Emilia in year 4.

London here. For boys, we meet a lot of Oscars in the playground and have come across at least three babies called Arlo in the last two years (never heard of it before then).

Girls: I've met two babies called Orla this year. Alice seems very popular at the moment too, both as a first and middle name.
