Registering 4 week old baby tomorrow and haven't decided on name-HELP

We are registering our baby boy tomorrow and cannot decide on a name! We want something that goes well with our other children (daughters are Ava and Freyja) but my husband is suggesting ridiculous names like thor (!) Whereas I like more traditional names like Jacob and Arthur. Help please?!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Reschedule the appointment!

Then try calling him Jacob, Arthur and Thor for one day each. See what feels most natural.

Magnus is kind of Viking-y but traditional.

Rockaby · 09/05/2017 20:02

Love suggestion of Magnus.

I quite like Magnus Russ. It has a lilting quality to it. Emphasis is on Mag rather than nus when I say it, so it sounds fine when I say it out loud.

Aquamarine1029 · 09/05/2017 20:22

My cousins name is Thorus, and he's the coolest guy ever. Everyone calls him Thor and it suits him perfectly. Very strong name.

bretonlover · 09/05/2017 20:31

If you like vikingy names how about Ivan or Ivar?

Thorran/Torran is a variant of Thor as is Thorsten/Torsten

Going on the Scandinavian theme, my Anglo-Swedish friend is "Mattias" (Ma-TEE-as), which is nice.

His very occasional NN is "Matti", but rarely used now.

Any good?

Ava, Freyja and Mattias.
Mattias Russ
