Choosing a 4th name

4babyboysbrewing · 03/05/2017 20:24

We are expecting our 4th baby boy in 1 month and finding it really hard to choose a name. We already have a Charlie, Chester & Rupert but can't decide on the 4th??
Should we keep to a name beginning with 'R' or go for a different letter?
We're not keen on modern names, these are the latest but any other suggestions would be much appreciated xx
Henry- maybe a bit common
Hector- alternative to Henry but would have to be brave!
Arthur- like
Woody-don't know if it goes
Ernie-cool
Robbie
Reg
Angus
Burt
Who ever thought choosing a name would be so difficult!!!

I really like Hector with your other names and also Henry. R names - Reggie rather than Reg or how about Rex? I think I would go for Rex for balance. Congratulations.

Really like Hector, Arthur, Woody and Angus with your current names. It's actually Robbie that I'm not sure goes!

DramaAlpaca · 03/05/2017 20:41

Arthur & Angus would go really well with your other names.

If you wanted another R name I'd suggest Rory.

4babyboysbrewing · 03/05/2017 20:44

Great suggestions thank you, do you think it's too much having 2 'ch' & 2 'R's
I must say my favorites are hector or Angus but husbands not keen on either Angry

Angus would go well with your other dc names. Or...
Rowen
Francis
Hugh

SuperBeagle · 03/05/2017 20:49

Henry is my favourite.

A Hector would not go down well where I live. I've not known someone yet to get teased for their name, but I think Hector would be teased.

Woody is known slang for an erection.

Ernie is not cool, but is just half of Bert and Ernie. That's doubly obvious because you also have Burt on your list Grin

Robbie is fine, Reg is fine but I prefer Reggie, and Angus is fine.

AbernathysFringe · 03/05/2017 20:50

Rex
Ray
Gus

SunshineDeLaSoul · 03/05/2017 20:51

Rafferty goes well

Sophronia · 03/05/2017 20:52

I really don't like Hector or Angus.
Henry is a great name (no I don't even have one).
Raymond (coolest name ever, and I don't have one of them either DH vetoed and I'm still cross about it ), Robin, Ruben, Richard, Rowen?

Twinmummytobe · 03/05/2017 20:55

What about Eddie? Love your names

junebirthdaygirl · 03/05/2017 20:56

I think Hugh is lovely. Also love Angus.

sidonie1 · 03/05/2017 20:57

I think Arthur sounds fab with your others! Or Theodore (Teddy). Maybe Rafferty if you wanted an R name.

QuietNameChange · 03/05/2017 21:03

I like all the names on your list.

Richard, Robert, Ronald, Reginald, Radcliff, Rafferty, Ranulph, Roderick, Renatus, Rohan, Rowland, Roscoe, Rudyard, Rufus, Regulus, Rudolph, Roman, Remigius, Rémy, Rafe, Roger or Raphael would be lovely?

Bringmewineandcake · 03/05/2017 21:09

I don't like Hector with Chester.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 03/05/2017 21:11

Robert/Robbie

4babyboysbrewing · 03/05/2017 21:11

I know what you mean, they sound very similar.
Not keen on Eddie only because it's my mums dogs name and teddy is very common locally

Robbie is lovely :)!

eggsandpegs · 03/05/2017 21:55

I like the idea of the fourth son being named after his dad.

mummarichardson · 03/05/2017 22:06

Hector and Arthur go best for me with your current names
