What do you think of the name Lukas? Is it a bit boring? Could be Luke as a shortening, so thoughts on that too! Thanks.

I prefer the spelling Lucas. I personally have never seen Lukas and it looked wrong.
I love the name and it's not boring at all. And can still use luke as a nn with the Lucas spelling.

Love Lucas. Not heard of Lukas but like that too, but it looks a bit harder because of the k.

I like it. But I have German family so I am used to that spelling. It's nice.

Buffythebabywearer · 02/05/2017 12:49

The Lukas I know is a great guy and is pronounced Luca, so that's how I'd say it initially if I saw it written down. I much prefer it over Lucas which is too surnamey for me.

Is it pronounced like Luca? I think that's lovely. I do t like Lucas at all as it makes me think of mucus Confused.

I like it but it's incredibly common round here, I know about ten pre schoolers (various spellings including yours).

DramaAlpaca · 02/05/2017 15:05

It's Lukas in Polish. It's fine. I think I prefer that spelling to Lucas.

Jooni · 02/05/2017 18:34

I like it a lot. Not so keen on Luke as I find it a bit dull but it's fine as a nickname.

ArtemisiaGentilleschi · 02/05/2017 21:44

Lucas/Lukas is lovely.
Luke is boring and overused.

QuietNameChange · 02/05/2017 22:35

I prefer Lucas or Lucien.
