I don't think it sounds feminine, but I do think it sounds wanky.
It's like Tarquin. Unless you like Tarquin of course, in which case, I'm sorry!

Actually the only Florian I know is a 10 year old girl! French family. It's definitely pronounced Florian but might be spelled Florianne, I'm not sure.

I don't like Tarquin. But I met adorable baby named Torquil a few days ago... I personally like Torquil and Florian (I wonder if DH would veto Torquil. Hm...)

Yes, Florianne is the feminine version. It sounds different in French, but probably (definitely?) not in English.
Because in French Florian sounds different than in English, but Florianne (in French) sounds very much like Florian (in English). Sorry, I don't think I'm making sense... (English is sometimes a difficult language. grumble)

Nope not at all. But that's because 1. I'm very familiar with the name and other versions of it like Florin and 2. Where i come from names are gendered as are most nouns and Florian is male.
