Please could you let me know your thoughts on the following, including how common/popular they are, and add any other suggestions?:

Beatrix/Beatrice (which?)
Constance
Felicity
Harriet
Jemima
Tabitha

Wow, what a mixed response! Interestingly Constance was DHs suggestion and I wasn't sure but that seems like one of the favourites on here. I get the puddleduck and cat thing but I do find that even if you had previous connotations of name (I.e. had a dog with the name) you quickly just associate it with the person?!

Love Tabitha. And quite like Harriet and Felicity.

smileygrapefruit · 24/04/2017 14:06

What do we think of Tabitha Lily?

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 24/04/2017 15:23

Love it ! 😄

FrostyPopThePenguinLord · 24/04/2017 15:47

Would you be ok with the nicknames for all of these, we had the reverse in that we liked Ollie and Charlie but not Oliver or Charles.
Trixie/Trix
Connie
Flick
Hattie/Harry
Jem
Tabby

Tabitha Lily is sweet x

Please chalk this over thinking up to the TWW and being off work! I'm a hormonal crazy lady with too much time on my hands.....

FeedTheSharkAndItWIllBite · 24/04/2017 16:13

I love Beatrice and and Beatrix and wish I could use them...
Harriet and Felicity and are nice.

I don't like Jemima or Tabitha (at all, tbh).

Susiethetortoiseshellcat · 24/04/2017 16:26

I had a few of those on my shortlist. My favourite is Tabitha.

smileygrapefruit · 24/04/2017 17:37

Two Week Wait

I know twins called Jemima and Constance :) and my name is on the list too.

Beatrice sounds a bit wet/prissy to me, I like the -ix ending though, much more punchy!

Love Jemima, think it's perfect.

Have no feelings about the others, all very fine and inoffensive :)

NoncommittalToSparkleMotion · 24/04/2017 17:43

I love Beatrix and Felicity, and really like Tabitha. Tabitha Lily sounds adorable.

I can't get the Beatrix Potter character out of my head, but actually Tabitha does have a nice sound, and is quite unusual.

Also like Harriet and Jemima.

Puremince · 24/04/2017 18:13

I love your list. My favourites are Felicity, Harriet and Beatrice.

GirlcalledJames · 24/04/2017 18:19

All nice names.
Between Beatrice and Beatrix, I like Beatrix for the nn Trixie.

crumble82 · 24/04/2017 18:21

I love all of them. Favourites are Beatrice, Constance and Felicity though. We nearly went for Felicity but couldn't agree on the shortening so ended up vetoing it.

smileygrapefruit · 24/04/2017 18:39

Ahh, two week wait. Well I'm self employed and have dd 1+2 (3.5 and 16 months) so not going to have too much time on my hands, probably going to hospital in labour will be the first time I get to myself haha.

smileygrapefruit · 24/04/2017 18:43

crumble I think that's why I'm not too keen on felicity. I think it's a lovely name but quite a mouthful for all the time without a nn and I don't really like flick/fliss/lissy.

Wasn't jemima a doll in playschool

Garlicansapphire · 24/04/2017 18:49

Keen on first two, deeply dislike second two, a bit meh about last two.

Berrybakecake1 · 24/04/2017 19:09

Oops posted too soon

Wormwoodm · 24/04/2017 20:34

Love Beatrice, Harriet (Hattie) and Tabitha. Not keen on others.

liadaintheirishpoetess · 24/04/2017 20:36

Beatrix & Jemima

Pinkandwhiteblossoms · 24/04/2017 20:37

I think they are all lovely op.

Tabitha is a bit 'feline' for me personally. I love jemima and Harriet so I'd plump for one of those and personally like Beatrice over Beatrix.

Nospringflower · 24/04/2017 22:57

Love Tabitha! Then Jemima!
