What do you think of the name Noel?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Sugarpiehoneyeye · 22/04/2017 17:15

It's Okay, I don't dislike it.
I prefer it reversed, Leon.

Sophronia · 22/04/2017 22:16

I really like it.

KatherinaMinola · 22/04/2017 22:17

Love it, but only for a Christmas baby (in case that needs saying).

BlondeGinger · 22/04/2017 22:21

Love it. My lovely, crazy granddad was a Noel so I'll use it somewhere in my boys name if I ever have one.

vitaminC · 22/04/2017 22:23

It makes me think of Noel Edmunds.
I prefer Noelle on a girl.

Imfinehowareyou · 22/04/2017 22:24

Will you pronounce it nole or no-all?

longtermsinglemummy · 22/04/2017 22:29

My Dad, lovely Grandad and cousin are all Noels. Love it.

MitzyLeFrouf · 22/04/2017 22:32

Dislike it. Was really popular in Ireland in the 70s so sounds ultra dated to me. Also Noel Edmonds. Also it rhymes with hole.

DramaAlpaca · 22/04/2017 22:32

Sugarpie I was going to say I prefer it reversed too - Leon is nice.

I really don't like Noel. I don't like names beginning with 'No' it seems. I dislike Noah too.

MitzyLeFrouf · 22/04/2017 22:32

And Noelle is just as bad.

thebakerwithboobs · 22/04/2017 22:47

Like it, and Joel.

twattymctwatterson · 22/04/2017 23:11

Edmonds

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 22/04/2017 23:13

I like it, it's not very common these days so sounds refreshing.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 23/04/2017 08:51

DramaAlpaca, me too. 🤔

GinIsIn · 23/04/2017 08:55

Bit dated. Edmunds.

SarahS2404 · 23/04/2017 09:00

JiltedJohnsJulie · 23/04/2017 09:11

It makes me think of Edmunds/Mr Blobby too, but them I am quite old Smile

mummabearfoyrbabybears · 23/04/2017 09:12

It just doesn't roll of my tongue well.

thebakerwithboobs · 23/04/2017 09:15

The Christmas thing is a non issue. (And that's from me-my name is January, I was born in June....)

HalfCarrot · 23/04/2017 11:39

It's fine till he has a house party.

EverbodyTalkAboutPopMusic · 23/04/2017 18:07

Grin at Half

maitaimojito · 23/04/2017 22:15

Not a fan, although I love Joel.

buttercup54321 · 23/04/2017 22:55

Really dislike it.

LarrytheCucumber · 23/04/2017 22:59

I have met two very nice adult Noels recently. It doesn't have to be a Christmas name. I like it.
