I like it, not heard it before

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 22/04/2017 11:34

Don't like sorry

Dozer · 22/04/2017 11:35

character who is very beautiful from philip pullman's trilogy.

Dozer · 22/04/2017 11:36

But yes I think it's fussy and might not suit some DDs.

ComputerUserNotTrained · 22/04/2017 11:36

Love it.

SuperBeagle · 22/04/2017 11:48

I love Seraphina.

I'm not normally one for overly "frilly" or girly names, but I have a couple of exceptions and this is one of them. I think Sera is an adorable nickname.

Mrsknackered · 22/04/2017 12:32

I really like it, also not usually a fan of 'frilly' names but I think it sounds pretty strong.

Carmenlo · 22/04/2017 12:34

Thanks.. Was going to have it as a middle name but it's growing on me as a first name! Smile

I like it. Lots of nick name potential.

FeedTheSharkAndItWIllBite · 22/04/2017 12:45

Love it! Especially as a first name (I feel like it's kind of "wasted" as a middle name... Not sure if that makes sense, btw).

KingsCross88 · 22/04/2017 14:17

I like it. And if she wants something less frilly, she can just call herself Sera (or Sarah).

Reow · 22/04/2017 14:22

Love it

MikeUniformMike · 22/04/2017 14:22

Or Phi.

BounceBounceSplishSplash · 22/04/2017 14:56

It's a bit too flouncy and frilly for me but I think I'd like it if I met one. Though I think it would be sweet for a v little girl but a bit much for an adult iykwim.

semideponent · 22/04/2017 15:03

This from wikipedia, just for fun:

Tradition places seraphim in the highest rank in the Christian angelic hierarchy and in the fifth rank of ten in the Jewish angelic hierarchy. A seminal passage in the Book of Isaiah (Isaiah 6:1-8) used the term to describe six-winged beings that fly around the Throne of God crying "holy, holy, holy".

It's clearly quite a name!

It sounds like something that they'd name a contraceptive pill.
Sera on the other hand I think is really lovely

Comealongpond89 · 22/04/2017 15:57

Love it!

SleepFreeZone · 22/04/2017 15:58

I have to imagine I can call a name loudly across a park and not feel like a wally. I just can't imagine calling 'Seraphina', sorry.

crazymissdaisy · 22/04/2017 16:00

Love it, Seraphina Pekkala, is that right? Lovely associations and a nice sound, you could also shorten it in lots of ways ( for calling across the park purposes): Sera; Fee; Feena.....

FeedTheSharkAndItWIllBite · 22/04/2017 16:03

Sleep Why not? It's alovely name!

BackforGood · 22/04/2017 16:14

Not to my personal taste. I feel a bit like sleepfreezone, just sounds a bit pretentious for my taste, although there is nothing wrong with it as a name, if that's the sort of name you like.

NoncommittalToSparkleMotion · 22/04/2017 16:19

I love it. I had a great aunt with this name, but spelled Serafina (Old Italian way.) We called her Zia Fee. She was beautiful Smile

LobsterQuadrille · 22/04/2017 16:25

Love it. I was friends with a Seraphina when I lived overseas. When she told me she was Charlie Watts's daughter it meant nothing to me as I had never heard of him.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 22/04/2017 17:21

It's very pretty.
