Struggling a bit with this unexpected pregnancy in my 'old age', so focusing on names now for a bit of jolly, I need an L name, thoughts on Lara, Larissa, Laurel
Which sounds the least chavvy and will be the least common in the ensuing years?
Crystal balls out please.

Not fussed on any of those. I don't think they're chsvvy. Just not to my persona l taste.
Other L names. Laura. Laila. Liza. Larna. Lena. Leia.

What about Lucy if you like Lucinda? I think Lucy is a lovely name, well-known but not very very common.

Lucianne is another option?

Livia Lucinda is no posher than Larissa I don't think. If you like the name, I'd not let potential posh factor stop you using it. It can shortened to Lucy/Luci too if you like that.

My favourite 'L' name is Lavinia, but I also love Lara and Louisa.

I hate ' chavvy ' but none of them are what are generally classed as chavvy but I do think Larissa is so try hard.
I like Lara but quite a few about, I really like Laurel.

I'm not keen on Lucinda, but it definitely isn't posh (imo).

Lara is my favourite (it's my DD!) - I also love Leia and like Lana, Larissa and quite like Lila and Lucy.

I love Laurel and Lara.
Larissa is too frilly for my taste.

FWIW, I don't think Lucinda is "too posh". It's likely she'd have her name shortened anyway, and Lucy - or Cindy! - are much more "middle of the road" type names.

Thanks everyone! Out of the list, I really like Lucienne and Laurel and Lucinda - I'm amazed and well chuffed that no one thinks of it as posh/snotty!

They're both gorgeous names Livia. Am a big fan of Lucinda. No idea why but just love it. It's unusual too without being wild and wacky and it won't date. It also has nn/shortening potential. Good luck with rest of your pregnancy and am sure whatever name you choose for your DD will suit her perfectly.

Letitia is my favourite. I also love Layla and Lola.

Not a fan of Lara at all.

Lucinda is lovely! Go for that if you like it.
