I know an Anelie, but I prefer it with the double "n" as you spell it as it's visually a bit further from "anally"! Her mum says she gets lots of compliments on her pretty, unusual name.

I think it's a gorgeous name. I know a lovely one - she's Afrikaans.

It makes me think "anally" as well. Amelie is much prettier.

My instant association would be Anerley, which is a place near Crystal Palace.

I'm afraid it would be mistaken for Amelie and your DD would spend her life correcting people. There are SO many Amelies.
