Kiera or Hannah?

Hello,

40 weeks and first baby. Swithering between Kiera and Hannah. Surname will be Reid. I'm in Scotland and like the Celtic connection of Kiera but not sure if Hannah flows better?

Opinions?!

Don't like the spelling of "Keira" it should always be CIARA 👍 But yes would prefer Keira over Hannah

Floggingmolly · 13/04/2017 00:44

Exactly, Ok. If you're after a Celtic connection you'd know it wasn't spelt with a K, op. There's no letter K in the Irish alphabet.

OkPedro · 13/04/2017 01:11

Or even worse Ciara is pronounced Sierra (like the car) in parts of the US!

Sophronia · 13/04/2017 01:13

Hannah

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 13/04/2017 01:54

Both gorgeous, but. Kiera just edges it

SuperBeagle · 13/04/2017 02:02

Hannah.

One of my favourites.

I don't mind Kiera (prefer this spelling over Ciara), but much prefer the Italian Chiara (key-ah-rah).

I think Hannah Reid flows better than Kiera Reid, because the two rs clash a bit in the latter.

ScarlettFreestone · 13/04/2017 02:03

Both lovely but I've always thought Hannah a particularly lovely name.

GirlcalledJames · 13/04/2017 11:44

Hannah! ItMseems quite rare these days

mum2be2boys · 13/04/2017 12:32

Both nice but I prefer Hannah.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 13/04/2017 12:52

Hannah.

relaxo · 13/04/2017 17:01

Too many ways to spell Keira/Kiera/Ciara... for me.

lorelairoryemily · 13/04/2017 17:02

Ciara not kiera, that's a dreadful spelling, both names are lovely but I prefer ciara

Floggingmolly · 13/04/2017 17:10

There are only two ways to spell Ciara, actually, relaxo
The right way, and the wrong way...

lorelairoryemily · 13/04/2017 17:11

molly Grin that's exactly what I was thinking!!😂😂

123beanie · 13/04/2017 17:15

I think Hannah flows much better. Smile

The 'ra' sound at the end of Kiera and the 're' at the start of Reid don't seem to flow well to me but maybe that's just me.

AliciaMayEmory · 13/04/2017 17:18

I love the name Hannah! Plus it's a palindrome which pleases me immensely! Blush

Kiera is a lovely name too and I've seen is spelled Kiera, Kira, Ciara.

You can't go wrong with either.

OriginalKateMid · 13/04/2017 18:13

Hannah. Classic and gorgeous :)

ChippieFishieHorshie · 13/04/2017 18:22

Kiera is nice. But Hannah is simply lovely. I also like pp's suggestion of Chiara.

What about Hannah Kiera R?

AnneWithAnEShirley · 13/04/2017 18:29

I just think Knightley when I hear Keira.

I like Hannah Reed

alltouchedout · 13/04/2017 18:33

I love Hannah.

Frazzled2207 · 13/04/2017 18:40

Prefer Keira to Kiera.

Mrsknackered · 13/04/2017 18:56

Keira.

Jenijena · 13/04/2017 18:58

Hannah, it's mine and DH's girls' name of choice.

//stares at the two wonderful boys I've been blessed with but with only 'meh, it will do' names

JuniePW · 14/04/2017 09:14

Kiera

starzzzz · 14/04/2017 09:15

Hannah. The only dispute over Hannah is people insisting you are called Anna.
