In order of preference for me: Thea, Ruby, Cleo (makes me think of Carry on Cleo or Cleo Rocos)

MyGirlDaisy · 11/04/2017 21:20

Cleo and Ruby are lovely, but I think Thea goes better with Evie when you say Evie & ...... iuswim. All beautiful names though.

Sophronia · 11/04/2017 21:23

I think Thea goes best with Evie

Peach04 · 11/04/2017 21:24

I like Cleo! Its cute! But would probably go for Cleone (pronounced klee-a-nee) and shorten to Cleo then she has a choice as she gets older which name to go by professionally etc.

Mamma2missEvie · 11/04/2017 21:29

Thanks guys...my preference is Cleo but everyone we've mentioned it to tends to pull a face or say 'like the car' which puts me off! Dh preference is Thea but I'm just not sure if it's super popular right now (although Evie turned out to be really popular too so I guess that doesn't overly matter!)

Cleo every time! It's lovely!

hideehigh · 11/04/2017 21:35

I love Cleo, my DNan used to call me Cleo as she couldn't get her head round my too-modern sounding name (Chloe)

Thea - would you pronounce it Tee-ah? Tay-ah? I know a French Thea, I think it's spelt Théa and it's lovely

Mamma2missEvie · 11/04/2017 21:43

I think we'd pronounce it Thee-ah hideehigh. It's so hard to choose, with DD1 we were set on her name from early on, I just feel like we should have made a decision on this one by now!

I love Cleo and Thea.

If you like Cleo, how about full name Clementine with nickname Cleo?

Mammatron · 11/04/2017 21:44

Thea is lovely!

reuset · 11/04/2017 21:45

Thea. Though I know plenty of Evie and Ruby siblings.

Mamma2missEvie · 11/04/2017 21:51

Dh really doesn't want a name that can be shortened, DD1 is just Evie, no longer name so clementine and cleone are out unfortunately. Thea is growing on me but I know another young baby who will be at the same nursery also called Thea which does put me off a bit.

I like Ruby best.

Not a fan of Cleo (reminds me of cats or mystics) or Thea.

DramaAlpaca · 11/04/2017 22:50

I like Cleo best with Evie.

Ruby would be my second choice.

I'm not keen on Thea.

PlymouthMaid1 · 11/04/2017 22:52

I like all three names.

YoullNeverWeeAlone · 11/04/2017 22:56

I wanted a Thea, DH did not.

Cleo is a Siamese cat, but i appreciate that's a personal connection and it is a lovely name.

I know about 400 Rubys (Rubies?!?) - and that is only a slight exaggeration. Don't dislike it at all, but if super popular is a consideration for you, you wouldn't want a Ruby round these parts.

reuset · 12/04/2017 00:00

Cleo is a good name for a Siamese cat Grin

GirlcalledJames · 12/04/2017 05:54

Thea all the way.

Mamma2missEvie · 12/04/2017 06:21

Thanks everyone 😊
