I like it, it was on my shortlist for DS.

IrnBruTortie · 10/04/2017 17:03

I love it. For various reasons I couldn't use it, but if I'd been able to it would have been on my shortlist.

Mrsknackered · 10/04/2017 17:17

An exes name so couldn't use but I love it.

SumAndSubstance · 10/04/2017 17:17

I like it too. I know a Malachi - he's a lovely boy.

babyboyHarrison · 10/04/2017 17:20

I like it, think it was a magic bumblebee in a childhood book of mine.

hollyisalovelyname · 10/04/2017 17:42

Is it pronounced Malakee?
As in the Gaelic name
Or
Malachee?

originalbiglymavis · 10/04/2017 17:45

I like it. I've worked with a few.

Makes me think of 'makarky' and that word makes me smile.

Jooni · 10/04/2017 18:06

I like it. I also like Malachy (pronounced "MAL-ah-kee")

MotherMary17 · 10/04/2017 18:09

It's pronounced Mala - Kai isn't it?

Lumpylumperson · 10/04/2017 18:09

I know a Malachi. It gets shortened to Mali.

I like it, biblical names are good solid names imo. However, as a PP said, I also like Malachy.

SuperSix77 · 10/04/2017 18:14

Love it.

cliffdiver · 10/04/2017 18:56

I dislike it.

But only because on a package holiday a few years ago there was a (seemingly) badly behaved little boy of that name and all we heard constantly when trying to relax round the pool was the mum screaming

MALLLLLLLLAAAAAAAKAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIII

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 10/04/2017 19:25

❤️❤️ ❤️ It ! 😄

Sophronia · 10/04/2017 20:07

I like it. Prefer Malachy "MAL-ah-kee" though.

merrymouse · 10/04/2017 20:08

I think it's great as long as you also really like 'Mal'.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 10/04/2017 20:40

I like Kye for short.

BridgetDarcy · 10/04/2017 20:47

Love love love it. Would have been in my very short shortlist if it wasn't for our surname making it sound ridiculous.

I think it can be pronounced kee at the end or Kai at the end. I always say it as kee.

ChippieFishieHorshie · 10/04/2017 20:53

I like it :)

DramaAlpaca · 10/04/2017 21:44

Not my style.

Buntysoven · 11/04/2017 00:46

Really not keen but maybe that's because I knew a really horrible one

lazycrazyhazy · 11/04/2017 01:01

I love it but would assume you're Irish or is that just me?

PointlessUsername · 11/04/2017 01:10

We have a Malachy ( Mal-ah-kee) he gets called Malachi quite often so is forever correcting people on his name.

he either gets called Mally or kee-kee by friends and family.

MadisonAvenue · 11/04/2017 01:28

I like it but prefer Malachy.

NeedABumChange · 11/04/2017 01:41

I don't like it, sounds chavvy. Also reminds me of the baddie in save the last dance.

LovelyBranches · 11/04/2017 08:48

I like it. It's likely to get shortened to Mal, Malc or even Malky.
