Beautiful name. One of my favourites.

I'm not having any more children but I still find myself getting angry that I can't name my imaginary DD Violet as it sounds utterly dreadful with my last name.

I love it. It was my great grandmother's name and I really wanted it for dd1 but dp said no. I know a 5mo Violet.

It's around 70th on the Ons data having risen in 2015. I wanted it for my dd too but dp said no, still a bit sad about it, I think it's one of the more feisty flower names and dd could totally pull it off. I haven't come across any where we live but it does seem very popular on MN

I'm surprised no one has come on to say they hate it because it is too similar to violent

I know 3. A 8 year old, a 5 year old and a 1 year old. I dislike the name but couldn't tell you why.

I've got an auntie Vi. Well dead and gone now. Would probably be in her 90s now.

Really dislike it and one of the worst of the granny chic names.
