I know a Danica. She's lovely but i have to say I'm not wild about her name Smile

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 07/04/2017 17:23

I love the name Danica, it's beautiful.

QODRestYeMerryGentlemen · 07/04/2017 17:23

I know a Danika. It's a meh name but deffo a girls one

WindwardCircle · 07/04/2017 17:25

I really like it. Unusual without being out there.

user1483387154 · 07/04/2017 17:30

It's ok. No strong feeling either way about it.

nursebickypegs · 07/04/2017 17:31

I know a Danica, and I jokingly call her Dance-e-ah as I'm a meanie Wink

TinfoilHattie · 07/04/2017 17:38

It's a good choice - unusual but not WTF weird.

I quite like Monica too.

choli · 07/04/2017 17:40

The only Danica I have heard of is the porn star who was involved with Josh Duggar.

ChippieFishieHorshie · 07/04/2017 17:40

Why not?

I prefer Davina, but Danica is a normal name imo.

LynetteScavo · 07/04/2017 17:45

It's not my cup of tea.

mowgeli · 07/04/2017 17:45

I know a girl called Danika she was from South Africa it might be a common name there

Mrsknackered · 07/04/2017 17:46

I know two, one being Dan-i-Ka and the other Da-nee-ka, assuming hoping you're using the first pronunciation Smile

Reow · 07/04/2017 17:47

Hmm, I'm not keen. It sounds very 80's pop singer to me for some reason. Was there a Danita?

I tend to not like 80's names, and I have one Grin

babynelly2010 · 07/04/2017 20:08

Interesting, some things I did not know about. I like the meaning, the morning star or venus. I also like short nickname Dani.
Much to think about, thank you.

I like it. It's fairly common in Australia.

buttercup54321 · 07/04/2017 21:06

Don't like it. Much prefer Danielle.

CrumpettyTree · 07/04/2017 21:08

Love

BattleaxeGalactica · 07/04/2017 21:14

I associate it with the one on CBB who 'rinsed' blokes for expensive tat trinkets. How about Anneka?

babynelly2010 · 07/04/2017 21:29

Can't do Danielle, my sister named her daughter that. After they shared they names before their daughter was born I told them that I loved their name as it starts with letter D and that it reminds of a name that we picked out for our last baby if it was a girl. It was a boy and seriously I did not think we will have another.
Now dd's due date is tomorrow and we got no creative ideas but this...
Another one I like is Milana, you may notice eastern European/ Slovakian trend, but dh is against it all though he loves Mila. But I would like a longer name with nickname like Danica with Dani. My sister does not call her daughter Dani.
Oh the naming dilemma!

I was thinking there was one in Girl with a Pearl Earring but that was Tanneke

SuperBeagle · 07/04/2017 22:01

I prefer just Dana. Smile

SuperBeagle · 07/04/2017 22:02

If you want an Eastern European name that starts with D, how about Dasha? It's the Russian short form of Daria/Darya.

Sophronia · 07/04/2017 22:21

I like it. The meaning is lovely (morning star).

babynelly2010 · 07/04/2017 22:44

I like daria with short dasha but i've been reminded few times by my russian friends that Daria sounds like diarrhoea Hmm
