I know a Tyrese OP. He's a lovely kid (teenager) so on that alone I'd say go for it if you like it Grin

Midnight0 · 07/04/2017 16:20

Tyrese is a nice name, reminds me of the singer though. I like the nickname Ty. Tyrone is nice as well.

Usanayme · 07/04/2017 16:24

Love Tyrone, do like Tyrese. Ty will be a cute nickname and if turns into a stroppy teenager and decides he hates it, then he can go bye Reece

There used to be Tyrell too but Game of Thrones has put that one to rest.

I'm not keen (but not because it's 'black' or a certain class of name, I don't like names like Alexander etc either). I just don't the like the way it sounds. It's a perfectly fine name though, so if you like how it sounds/ what it means you should use it.

Serowe72 · 07/04/2017 16:39

Like it. Ty sounds like a good strong nickname. If you like it, please use it. Do not let others put you off !

Montsti · 07/04/2017 16:50

I'm not that keen but if you love it, go for it!

hellogirlies · 07/04/2017 16:50

I prefer Reece !

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 07/04/2017 17:17

I like it too.

vitaminC · 07/04/2017 17:24

It didn't occur to me that it would be considered a "black" name (I thought that was a purely American thing, having specific names for blacks/whites, never heard of it in the UK), but I'm not a fan of the name, I'm afraid. Ty is ok, though.

Willow2017 · 07/04/2017 17:25

I like it due to the character in TWD but thats Tyreese.

Up to you, if you like it then thats all that matters, its not some weird and whacky made up name like some these days.

vitaminC · 07/04/2017 17:26

Also, I wouldn't be sure on the pronunciation just from looking at it. Is it Ty-reeze, Ty-reece, Ty-rays...?

ChippieFishieHorshie · 07/04/2017 17:28

It reminds me of Therese...

TinfoilHattie · 07/04/2017 17:48

Don't like it at all, sorry. Reese's peanut butter cups. Yum.

Heratnumber7 · 07/04/2017 18:07

Or it could be a shipping forecast area

Gale warning issued. Viking; North Utsire; South Utsire; Forties ; Cromarty; Forth; Tyne; Dogger, Tyrese

Sophronia · 07/04/2017 18:57

I prefer Tyree

Lemondrop09 · 07/04/2017 20:33

I knew a little Tyrese. Cheeky chappy, cute as hell. I think it's a nice enough name.

Other suggestions

Tyler
Tyrone
Tyrell
Tyrus

ScoobyDoosTinklyLaugh · 07/04/2017 20:38

I really like it. Beautiful name, and Ty for short is nice too.

buttercup54321 · 07/04/2017 21:05

Reece
Tyler
not Tyrece
