Can I have thoughts on these names please and any suggestions based upon what I have so far. I appreciate some are quite unusual names.

Boys (really struggling):
Cruz
Bodhi

Girls:
Elowen (nn Winnie for short)
Nancy
Dusty
Goldie
Maeve

Thank you!

Cruz is nice.......

Hellofromme · 07/04/2017 13:10

They're all too unusual for my taste although I do like Caleb.

IHeartDodo · 07/04/2017 13:13

Erm the only ones I would even consider are Maeve (nice) and maybe Nancy. The others either don't really sound like names (Bodhi? - pronounced like body?) or are just odd... - Dusty and Goldie sound like a country music singers.

PurpleDaisies · 07/04/2017 13:14

I don't like any of them. I agree that Caleb is lovely though.

ScarletSienna · 07/04/2017 13:15

I really like Bodhi, Elowen and Maeve.

WannaBeAWarhol · 07/04/2017 13:18

I really like Bodhi (it was on our list for DS2). The girls names aren't really to my taste but I think Elowen is the nicest one on the list.

SuperSix77 · 07/04/2017 13:18

Love Maeve & Elowen is pretty & unusual. Not keen on Cruz (think it will date & it makes me think of the Beckhams). Bodhi is OK but I prefer Brody/Brodie, which is Irish Scots in origin.

LouKout · 07/04/2017 13:19

Sorry Dusty and Goldie sound like dogs names

PenguinDi · 07/04/2017 13:25

Elowen sounds very Tolkien to me, if you are going down that route what about Elanor?

Jooni · 07/04/2017 13:30

Really not keen on Cruz, Dusty or Goldie. The others are quite nice, especially the girls. I prefer Brodie or Rudy over Bodhi, which strikes me as a bit hippy.

How about:

Bear
Loki
Pax
Shea/Che
Remy
Fox
Asa
Blaise
Jory

Niamh/Neve
Reve
Eluned
Polly
Marnie
Beatrix
Blythe
Dulcie
Hetty
Anwen

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 07/04/2017 17:27

I like the suggestion of Rudy, and Asa also goes well with Caleb.
How about Golda (Goldie).
Nancy is nice.

GuinessPunch · 07/04/2017 17:28

Lovr cruz. The rest are dire.

ChippieFishieHorshie · 07/04/2017 17:30

Elowen and Nancy are nice :)!!

Not a fan of your boy's names.

James? Vinod?

sonlypuppyfat · 07/04/2017 17:35

Caleb is great, what you're on when you've thought of the others I don't know

Mrsknackered · 07/04/2017 17:52

Love Bodhi. I think Cruz is quite a harsh name so not overly keen.
Love Elowen and Maeve. I know of a couple baby Dusty's and really don't like.
I like Goldie too but Goldie Lookin Chain springs to mind! Grin

TinfoilHattie · 07/04/2017 17:53

Elowen, Nancy and Maeve are lovely. The rest are not good.

Alexalvarez2 · 07/04/2017 18:52

Haha thanks for the (brutally) honest feedback. The likelihood is that a girl would be named Elowen unless I find something I love more. So so stumped on boys names though ... we can't have any names with a soft 'a' sound out the end for example Asa or Emilia due to the sound of our surname. Arghhh boys names are so hard! Thanks

Alexa, we all love names, and we do tend to be honest, but we also get carried away, and become brutal. It isn't personal though, we do have your interests at heart. Just sift through, listen or ignore. 😄
Elowen is lovely. More boys name suggestions ;
Caleb and Adam
Caleb and Joseph
Caleb and Jonas
Caleb and Gabriel
Caleb and Matthew

BounceBounceSplishSplash · 07/04/2017 20:22

Sorry but the boys names are awful and don't go with Caleb (which is a nice name). I do really like Elowen, Maeve and Nancy though in that order.

buttercup54321 · 07/04/2017 21:20

Dusty and Goldie are dogs names. Don't like any of the others either. Love Caleb though.
what about
Caleb and Aaron
Caleb and Jacob
Caleb and Daniel
Caleb and Matthew
Caleb and Zachary
Caleb and Mason
Caleb and Amy
Caleb and Lucy
Caleb and Matilda
Caleb and Katie
Caleb and Eliza
Caleb and Beth

wizzler · 07/04/2017 21:23

Gabe and Nate go nicely with Caleb (Love caleb btw) . HOw about Seth?

Yika · 07/04/2017 21:27

I like Goldie.

I find Bodhi as a spelling a bit 'out there'. I'd spell it Bodie. Remember Bodie and Doyle anyone? Or are you all too young??!

Caleb is a terrific name.

What about Jesse, Joel or Corey?

lizzieoak · 07/04/2017 21:28

Don't like the boys' names, but Elowen and Maeve are lovely.

Joinourclub · 07/04/2017 21:33

I like Caleb so much more than your other boy choices.

Suggestions:

Jacob
Ewan
Leo
Dexter
Oscar

Elowen / Winnie is lovely

SpikeGilesSandwich · 07/04/2017 23:07

I like Bodhi, little surfer dude! Cruz is awful though in my opinion.
