Which one? We can't decide! Smile

Tough one because I love both. I'm gonna go with Samuel because I prefer the shortening Sam over Alex.

user1482079332 · 06/04/2017 18:33

I adore Alexander but my other half didn't Sad

ClaryBeanHorshAndMe · 06/04/2017 18:35

I prefer Samuel :)

I know so many Alexanders... And whilst I do like the name Alexander I'm really not a fan of most nicknames (Alex, Sasha, Xander...)

Thatextrainch · 06/04/2017 18:37

I think Samuel is a nicer name but I e also posted on another thread about the zillion of toddler Alexander's I know so that clouds my opinion

ohdoadoodoo · 06/04/2017 18:48

Samuel Smile

Rockaby · 06/04/2017 19:04

I like both, but would probably go for Samuel, as I don't like some of the shortening options for Alexander. I love Alex, but don't like Xander or Sandy.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 06/04/2017 19:45

Definitely Samuel, I really like Sam too !

Jooni · 06/04/2017 19:54

I prefer Sam to Alex too, but in full Alexander is so handsome! I like some of the other nicknames, just Alex is a bit meh.

Alexander and call him Sander? Sander has something of the Samuel about it I think.

OvO · 06/04/2017 20:09

Alexander.

Figgygal · 06/04/2017 20:12

I have a 6mo Alexander who is always called Alex so I'd say Alex

BonnyScotland · 06/04/2017 20:17

Sandy is also an abbreviation of Alexander x

DramaAlpaca · 06/04/2017 20:18

Alexander

Mrsknackered · 06/04/2017 20:41

Alexander.
I love Samuel but find Sam boring.
Alex and Sasha are good nn's for Alexander should he ever want one :)

Reow · 06/04/2017 20:43

Both lovely!

CakeRattleandRoll · 07/04/2017 00:28

Samuel. (And has toddler bonus of Fireman Sam association!)

UntilTheCowsComeHome · 07/04/2017 00:31

Alexander, Xander for short.

I don't like the shortening of Alex but it's a lot better than boring Sam.

mum2be2boys · 07/04/2017 05:02

Love both! They were both on our shortlist :-)

I'd go with Samuel.

SuperBeagle · 07/04/2017 05:22

Samuel. Smile

I have one. He's always known as Sam. He's a delight, and the name is so lovely.

Yika · 07/04/2017 05:50

Both lovely

Would go for Alexander as I find Sam overused.

swimmerforlife · 07/04/2017 06:11

Samuel!

I have one and it's my all time favourite name, although he is generally known as Sam
