Help with boys names, I love Wilfred and Edward...

Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on boys names for us? Found out we are having a boy yesterday and were convinced we were having a girl, so a little bit thrown!

My favourites are Wilfred (Wilf or Freddy) and Edward (Ed, Eddy or Ted, Teddy)...just just wondering if there are any other suggestions of similar, old/traditional names?

I like longer names which can be shortened, so that the baby has a bit more choice when he's older. I love Jamie, but I'm not sure it's as much of a grown man's name, and don't like James..

Going to try and convince DH on either Wilfred or Edward, but just wanted to check there's nothing I've missed Smile

I think our favourites at the moment are Edward and Lawrence...which I love together, so I think we have our two names there, just need to decide on the order, though I'll be rooting for Edward as a first name to get my Eddy/Teddy Smile

Ooh Grumpy, I wonder if we know the same Wilf and Stanley? Some great name suggestions here, I think.

Theodore
Sebastian
Benedict
Maximilian
Rupert
Laurence

And I'm going to go left-field and throw in:
Winston
Neville
Horace

We have a Wilfred, it is SUCH a great name... so many nicknames! He is Wilf, Wilfie, Wilfred, Fred, Freddie and many others which would totally out me. Do it!

I have a Stanley, but I love Wilfred if baby was a boy that would be on my list.

Lawrence Edward goes well OP.

I really dislike Wilfred-I've never met one so maybe if I did it'd sound more like a real name! I also think Stanley is an awful name. They're both dreary and dull.

Edward is lovely though.
