DD arrived 5 weeks ago, and after about 10 days we buckled to Pressure and named her Grace, we both like it but neither of us love it, I feel like we've settled for a common name, and want to change it.
Her brother and sister have great names that we love and I feel I owe it to baby to give her an equally awesome name (in my opinion!)

I love Xanthe.... however can't use it as its very similar to my DS, Xavier.

I like different names, ones that you meet few and far between and that have good nicknames.

So we have Xavier and Trixie already so I like names with an x sound it seems any suggestions on what number 3 could be..... ???

Zadie is cool, like the author Zadie Smith

Sunshineandlaughter · 24/03/2017 16:45

Zadie grace sounds nice!

misshoohaa · 24/03/2017 20:18

I really like Zadie, I'll see what DH thinks, I've also been toying with India which was on our shortlist originally as I like Indi (despite its z or x shortcoming!)
I never thought naming children would be so hard, although it the compromising with DH that is the challenge!

HoratioNightboy · 25/03/2017 22:11

I love Xanthe, and used to wish I were called Maxine, so that's the two X names I would go for.

Only1scoop · 25/03/2017 22:24

Ianthe

Celeste

misshoohaa · 25/03/2017 22:25

Finally decision made and we are both in agreement that it is the PERFECT choice - Xanthe!
We decided that all our concerns were irrelevant and our son would soon get over the X being shared.
Reading everyone's messages here helped too so thank you!
Feels good to give her a name that we love, should have done it from the start. Shame we have a draw full of cards for Grace (not to mention the birth certificates!)

I know a Xia.

It's pronounced zee-ah. Can also be spelt Zia.

MrsNuckyThompson · 26/03/2017 04:44

Only one of your names has an 'x' sound so assuming that you don't want the sound so much as the letter?

Summersunshine222 · 26/03/2017 10:20

Oh sorry I meant how old is your ds (son) the one who was upset about the name sounding similar.
