Hello Smile I'm 30 weeks and after some advice on sibling names please.. DD is Matilda Grace and we have a boys name sorted (Sebastian George) but girl names are proving more difficult!!

So far, we have the following ideas but not sure I love any of them in the way I love DD's name just yet:

Rosie Annabelle
Rosie Florence
Poppy Annabelle
Poppy Charlotte
Ivy Florence
Florence Ivy

I'd appreciate opinions on the above please or any other suggestions Smile

TIA xx

I think Matilda and Florence go beautifully, they both sound of the same sort of era to me whereas Rosie and Poppy sound a bit more modern, and also a bit less formal.

Florence Ivy is great.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 20/03/2017 10:23

I agree with PP Florence is the best fit with Matilda
Other suggestions
Harriet Rose
Aurora Beth.
Vivienne Mary

I like Florence but think Florence Annabel is the better combination.

I also think Tabitha, Jemima and Esme work well with Matilda.

SantasLittleMonkeyButler · 20/03/2017 13:17

We have similar tastes in baby names OP! Grin

Personally, I prefer Annabelle to Florence and would choose either Poppy Annabelle, Annabelle Ivy or Ivy Annabelle.

BasicBetty · 20/03/2017 13:42

I like Ivy Florence and Florence Ivy.

How about Violet or Lydia?

I like the name Matilda a lot. If I had two daughters I would call them Theodora and Matilda. Teddy and Tilly/Tilda.

Hope you find a name you love soon :)

I have a Matilda and a Charlotte Isabel.

Beautiful name by the way and congratulations.

Isntshelovelyisntshewonderful · 20/03/2017 19:37

Thank you all so much, so helpful!! Some really nice ideas here Smile

I think Harriet and Charlotte are going on the list and there are some lovely middle name options I hadn't thought of either. Florence seems a popular option, I'm just not sure I love the potential nicknames that come with it enough so need to have a good think about that.

Time for a chat with DH to see if we can get this list narrowed down even though I think I'm going to need to make it longer with some of your lovely suggestions!!

Thanks again Smile
