Me and my husband cannot agree a baby name HELP?!?!

I've suggested Sol (which j have been secretly calling baby).... he's suggested names I can't pronounce like Laye "Li-ah" , Bosso and Iso....I don't know 😫
Our other son is called Orson, his children from previous relationship are boys Ayoh and Tayah....
Suggestions please!!! Everything I've suggested is vetoed 😦

What about Solomon nn Sol? Goes well with Orson. Definitely don't go for anything you can't pronounce! "Li-ah" sounds like liar to me so def not that.

Other suggestions if he likes names ending in O:

Milo
Ivo
Leo

I think you need to give us some more guidance before we can give you suggestions.

What names can you both vaguely agree on? There must be some middle ground...

In the same category as Orson I would put;

Blake
Taylor
Lincoln
Quinn
Jackson
Arlo
Remy

Bruno
Jago
Otto
Asa
Luca

There really is very little common ground between us to be honest. We had kind of compromised with Shea/Shay but neither of us really like it.
I like normal, easy to spell and pronounce names that are still unusual but not like random. He likes names that he says are Cameroonian (that's where he is from) but his suggestions are really out there for me.
I love Remy and Ivo but these names are randomly the names of his best men from our wedding and he doesn't want to use them for the baby x

Yay!

Wanted if for both my boys: vetoed. DS2 is still a little bit Asa in my head Sad

NotYoda · 17/03/2017 18:13

Also

Malachi

beebee82 · 17/03/2017 18:15

I suggested Leon for our first boy but he vetoed it as his name is Noel and Leon is Noel spelt backwards 😒

How about Fabrice or Fabien

beebee82 · 17/03/2017 18:16

Aw! I like a lot of names but am always vetoed, though I guess he feels the same with me!

beebee

Aw me too. I had at least 5 I would have been happy with. DH came up with the one perfect name for DS1. Then we had to start the negotiation all over again with DS2

Stellmum · 17/03/2017 18:20

What about Liam? It is close in sound to his suggestion.

I love Noah and Samuel.

beebee82 · 17/03/2017 18:37

I think hubby might like Jago, I've googled it and it can also be spelt Yago which I think I prefer as it's more obvious how to pronounce it (to me) so maybe I could suggest
Sol Yago
Or
Asa Yago

What do you think? X

I really like Asa. that's really fabulous :)!

LorLorr2 · 17/03/2017 19:53

Someone on here was thinking of naming their son Bodie, there are different spellings you could choose like but yeah it's unusual yet easy to read :)

UnicornButtplug · 17/03/2017 19:56

I like Arlo to go with Orson or Harley.

Yago is nice.

Sunshineandlaughter · 17/03/2017 22:24

Jago is actually quite popular round where I live. Not a problem as I don't see the problem with popular names but just thought you should know!

I like sol actually a lot.

Solen, or
Sullivan with nn sol?

How about
Jaron
Abram

Sunshineandlaughter · 17/03/2017 23:02
