Which do you prefer, Agnes Cecelia or Cecelia Agnes? (Sister to Margot as in previous post Smile).

Agnes sounds very dour to me.

MOISTOWLETT · 14/03/2017 15:20

ToDuk I know what you mean, I thought of The Vamps Grin

Cosmicglitterpug · 14/03/2017 15:23

Ooh, I like both. Probably Cecilia though.

MotherofPearl · 14/03/2017 15:23

I have an Agnes and so naturally I think it's a beautiful name (and not dour or harsh as suggested by pp). She's often Aggie for short. Smile Less keen on Cecilia (either spelling).

Una ( oona) or can be spelled Oonagh is the lrish name for Agnes. Thought it would be nice with Margot

minipie · 14/03/2017 15:57

Not Agnes if pronounced the English way.

Cecelia, or for preference, Cecily.

BarInSpace · 14/03/2017 19:39

Agnes, but I like both Smile

Pencilvester · 14/03/2017 20:12

I love both, but Cecilia just wins by a whisker.

Cecelia looks odd to my eyes (apologies if this is the usual spelling in your culture).

Pencilvester · 14/03/2017 20:13

Oh, and I think they both go well with Margot.

PartyCityGhoul · 14/03/2017 20:22

This made me smile, these were the two names I decided between for my confirmation name about a million years ago!

I love Agnes, it's calm and firm and self assured to me. Cecelia/Cecilia is lovely but felt more fey and girly not womanly. I do prefer Cecily or Cecile.

I'd probably use Ness as a NN for Agnes rather than Aggie.

Rockaby · 14/03/2017 20:37

Agnes Smile. I like it!

I prefer Cecily, which I love, to Agnes, but don't like Cecelia very much for some reason.

Mumzypopz · 14/03/2017 21:14

Yuk.both are horrid, sorry.

Kazzawazza69 · 14/03/2017 22:03

I don't like either I'm afraid. Cecelia is marginally better. I quite like Cecily as suggested by a couple of others.

Lilly16 · 14/03/2017 22:12

Cecelia Agnes :)

hoddtastic · 15/03/2017 12:02

the kids in Minions are Margot and Agnes aren't they?

MollyHuaCha · 15/03/2017 15:06
