Opinions on Jemma? Leigh as a middle name? Surname is Stevens.

Thanks.

I love Jemma but not with mn Leigh. That sounds daft.

Even Jemily makes more sense somehow.
Jemma Stevens sounds good.

Loyly · 13/03/2017 11:52

I don't like it, sorry.

EssentialHummus · 13/03/2017 11:53

I prefer the Gemma spelling, but otherwise Gemma/Jemma L. Stevens sounds fine.

GeillisTheWitch · 13/03/2017 11:53

I like Gemma with a G better than Jemma.

poorloo · 13/03/2017 11:56

I think Gemma doesn't look as pretty Sad

I can't see anything wrong with it at all. It just looks like she has two surnames, which is fine.

reuset · 13/03/2017 12:35

Jemma looks odd. I prefer Gemma, which was always the most popular spelling, but don't care for it either. Jemima I do actually like.

Leigh looks like another surname, agreed.

ToastVacuum · 13/03/2017 12:43

I'm not sure it flows well and it does sound like Jemily (nickname Jelly)?

However I think Jemima, with Jemma as nickname, would work.

Jemima Leigh Stevens sounds good and when using all three names together you'd say them all in full.

Kazzawazza69 · 13/03/2017 13:19

Jemma is much nicer than Gemma imo. Leigh is ok as a middle name.

SugarLoveHeart · 13/03/2017 13:22

Middle name is never really used, so I don't think it matters what it is as long as you like it. I like Leigh. And Jemma.

Sophronia · 13/03/2017 13:47

I like Jemma but not with Leigh

Loulou2kent · 13/03/2017 13:47

Love Gemma Leigh S.... same name my sister has. Surname begins with S too. Smile not too keen on the J spelling though

Chocolatecake12 · 13/03/2017 14:47

How about Jenna if you like the j spelling?

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 13/03/2017 19:19

Jemma is lovely, but not Leigh.
Jemma Leanne
Jemma Louise
Jemma Leona
Jemma Lucy
Jemma Rose
Jemma Elise
Jemma Zoe

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 13/03/2017 19:20

I prefer Jemma with a J as well op, much nicer.

apotheke · 13/03/2017 19:23

Jemma is nice. Leigh isn't really to my taste. Jemma Leigh sounds a bit like it should have a hyphen and be a country singer to me!

MeerkatOnMyWall · 13/03/2017 19:27

I like it. I actually like Jemma with a J too, doesn't look as clunky. She'd always have to spell it out to people - "Jemma with a J", but that's quite straight forward enough.

Leigh is nice too - have a friend and that's her middle name.

I think all three names together have a nice ring to them.

JLS as initials?

NapQueen · 13/03/2017 19:28

Jemima is nicer than Jemma/Gemma. I prefer the G spelling.

But better again is Jenna

Rockaby · 13/03/2017 20:16

I'm another one who likes Jemima but is not terribly keen on Jemma or Gemma. I also don't like Leigh very much so I wouldn't use it as a MN unless it is for sentimental reasons (honouring a family member etc).

Usernamewithnodigits · 13/03/2017 21:12

Sounds to me like it's Emily starting with a J... Jemily.

RuthB4 · 14/03/2017 02:33

My maiden name was Gemma Stevens Grin

I've always been glad that I've been Gemma rather than Jemma fwiw. Gemma seems prettier and linked to Gemstones.
Love my name. Glad you like it too.

jkdnanny · 19/03/2017 01:06

I'm a Jemma. It is often misspelt.Especially when I was younger. People are better at asking if its with a j/g though. But if they don't ask and just guess, its always the g. Its never particularly bothered me- as long as my good friends remember how to spell it, I couldn't care less about how random people spell my name!
My middle name is kate

mummytobemaybe · 19/03/2017 18:01

I prefer Gemma

crapfatbanana · 19/03/2017 18:36

Jemma Leigh Stevens is a good name. It doesn't sound like Jemily to me.

Jenna instead maybe?

buttercup54321 · 20/03/2017 00:12

Gemma
Emily
Jemima

Louise
Rose
Faye
as middle names
