I have loved this name for months and months. Now due date is near and I am having second thoughts. Opinions?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Backhometothenorth · 12/03/2017 18:34

Love it

Glossolalia · 12/03/2017 18:35

Great name. I think it's beautiful and is known but not common which, to me, is the perfect combination.

LaGattaNera · 12/03/2017 18:38

Yes gorgeous name really great!

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 12/03/2017 19:15

❤️ Nancy.
Will she have a middle name OP ?

NuffSaidSam · 12/03/2017 20:09

I used to really like it, but not keen now. It's very granny-chic, which means it will date badly. Also, I don't think it's very versatile as there are no real nn opportunities.

rubberducker · 12/03/2017 20:54

Love it! It was my nan's name and my friend used it for her DD (now 3). I think it's classic, with personality.

Buntysoven · 13/03/2017 00:44

I've got a baby one! So far DH has called her Nance and Nancy-pants. Obvs I LOVE it.

CakeRattleandRoll · 13/03/2017 01:47

Lovely name.

RuthB4 · 13/03/2017 02:29

I like it. My only hesitation is whether people would nickname her Nan, but I don't know how likely that is.

Brummiegirl15 · 13/03/2017 09:36

I love it and wanted it for DD but DH vetoed it.

But I love it!

elQuintoConyo · 13/03/2017 09:39

Tis a close relative's name. She hates it. She was teased horribly about it - but is from a different generation, so that might not happen anymore.

I can't say I'm a fan.

withaspongeandarustyspanner · 13/03/2017 10:24

I have a Nancy. She's 10 and cheeky and sunny and awesome.

Funnily enough, I had a wobble about her name just before she was born, but stuck with it. I'm glad, because she couldn't be anything else.

Aquamarine1029 · 13/03/2017 11:00

Dreadful name. Boring, dated, and frumpy.

Beachedwh4le · 13/03/2017 11:03

Dab just had a little girl at the weekend and she is Nancy Smile I was initially a bit skeptical but I've come round to it

AshesandDust · 13/03/2017 11:15

I love this name, it was my aunt's name - she was beautiful, joyful, capable and all eyes were on her when she danced. A terrifically
memorable aunt.

Iinventedpostits · 13/03/2017 11:16

I think it's lovely! I was thinking about this name the other day for if I have another DD Smile

ChippieBeanAndHorro · 13/03/2017 11:19

Gorgeous!!

Gummibears · 13/03/2017 11:37

I don't find it feminine at all, sorry

DramaAlpaca · 13/03/2017 11:38

I don't like it at all, sorry.

Gummibears · 13/03/2017 11:43

It also doesn't travel well into other languages, which may or may not bother you.

Weebleswobbles · 13/03/2017 11:43

Lovely!

Cosybythefire · 13/03/2017 11:52

I love Nancy.

Theyhaveallbeenused2 · 13/03/2017 11:53

Love it if wanted to use it but ex said no

MamaHanji · 13/03/2017 12:38

I love it.

Neither of my children are often called by their real name anyway! My Alice is called squish and my Eliza is called num num. Don't ask me why. I have no idea.

Chocolatecake12 · 13/03/2017 20:19

Love it!
