We already have a Rudy - and both will have be born in Germany, can I ask what you think of Felix?
Is it still too 'cat like'?

I love it, and the cat thing wouldn't bother me. It is, however, very very posh indeed - which is funny as 'Felice' in Italian is more of a 80 year old peasant name.

MaisyPops · 12/03/2017 06:43

It's a lovely name.
I will always think of the cat though.

Saying that, kids of the same age as him would have no idea of that link.

NiceCuppaTeaAndASitDown · 12/03/2017 06:44

I absolutely adore Felix! Great name

Jooni · 12/03/2017 07:24

I love Felix! I don't think it's actually seen as exclusively "posh" now either - maybe 10-20 years ago, but it's top 100 now and I know several perfectly normal Felixes.

It's a fab name and goes really well with Rudy!

Garnethair · 12/03/2017 07:26

Super name.

Sapphireshadow · 12/03/2017 07:26

Love it. It's one of my favourite names. Think it goes well with Rudy.

Cosmicglitterpug · 12/03/2017 07:27

Excellent name

Gummibears · 12/03/2017 09:51

Cat food in the Uk!

AppleFlapjack · 12/03/2017 10:04

I dont really like the name and do think of the cat food. Its also really popular in my area (South East) and there are three in DCs class at school so that would put me off.

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 12/03/2017 10:08

One of my closest school friends was nicknamed Felix, so it always makes me smile.

reuset · 12/03/2017 10:32

I like it. Having checked I'm surprised it's not more popular, I really thought it was, but it's only just in the top 100 (90s)

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 12/03/2017 11:22

Great name, goes very well with Rudy.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 12/03/2017 11:23

Stella, most cats are called Trevor or Colin these days. 😂

ToastVacuum · 12/03/2017 12:03

Felix is a great name.

OneSecondAfter · 12/03/2017 12:31

I love it. It was number one on my list but OH vetoed it :(

PoundlandUK · 12/03/2017 12:33

Gorgeous, and one of the few names which works well across DE and UK

rogueantimatter · 12/03/2017 12:37

If I'd had another boy I'd like to have called him Felix. (Or Thorfinn)

I assume you know it means lucky/happy/serendipitous?

Gummibears · 12/03/2017 12:54

Lots of names work well both in German and English e.g. Alexander, Thomas, Oskar etc

Felix is pronounced Feelix in English but Fehlix in German so not quite the same

Mumzypopz · 12/03/2017 13:40

Makes me think of Felix cat food.

PageNowFoundFileUnderSpartacus · 12/03/2017 17:15

I love Felix, one of my favourite boy's names.

glitterglitters · 12/03/2017 17:50

I love Felix. It's Latin for lucky as well and is the root of the word Happy in a number of Latin based languages ❤

Sophronia · 12/03/2017 17:52

It's not my cup of tea, but it goes well with Rudy.

badg3r · 12/03/2017 22:38

I love it, I know a little felix and it suits him really well. And I think it's good on a grown up too.

CruCru · 12/03/2017 23:01

Felix is nice. Some friends who are from the US / Austria used it for their son as it works in both English and German.

CakeRattleandRoll · 13/03/2017 01:50

Great name. Would have been on the list for DD if she had been a boy.
