Malia is also the name of one the Obama's daughters... I've never heard of that resort, tbh.

❤️ Seren.

Mali (to rhyme with Sally)

Malia is probably OK as a name in the US, because no-one there has heard of the resort on Crete.

Quite a lot of people in the UK have heard of it. I quote from a website which gives a truthful picture - "Great place to be if you are very young, love getting drunk and want to party."

Mali does indeed rhyme with Sally. There's a popular children's TV character in Wales called Sali Mali, based on equally popular books.

Both names are pretty but I like Mali (whichever way you pronounce it! Grin)

Love Mali. (Rhymes with sally - there's used to be a kids to programme in Wales called sali Mali for that reason). It's the Welsh version of molly.

Seren beautiful name, not overly keen on the other

mum2be2boys · 10/03/2017 21:04

Seren :-)

SuperBeagle · 10/03/2017 22:47

Seren.

Because it seems I'm pronouncing Mali wrong. I'd pronounce it like Marley.

My dd loved Sali Mali!
