I am starting to really like this name, Tallulah. what do you think?

Other options are Carmen or Violet (too popular?). but Tallulah is my fave :)

On its own it's a great name. But all I hear is the song from Bugsy Malone. So couldn't use it for that reason.

I adore Violet but it's popularity put me off too.

AshesandDust · 03/03/2017 20:10

It's a lovely name and I really like Lula and Tally as nick-names

SuperBeagle · 03/03/2017 20:12

I don't dislike it... but it kind of reminds me of a duck. Was there a duck character name Tallulah somewhere? Hmm

I think I prefer the spelling Talulah, like Elon Musk's wife.

Runningissimple · 03/03/2017 20:13

I know a Tallulah! It's a great name. Can also be shortened to Tal.

LemonBreeland · 03/03/2017 20:14

I love it. DS2 would have been Tallulah if he was a girl.

WLmum · 03/03/2017 20:21

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 03/03/2017 20:21

yes, there is a duck called Tallulah in the Maisy books.

Ah-hah! That would be it. Smile

DramaAlpaca · 03/03/2017 20:27

It's too frilly for me too.

And reminds me of the song in Bugsy Malone, and the one about Tallulah does the Hula...

Not my style.

Prefer Carmen or Violet.

CPtart · 03/03/2017 20:29

Don't like it. A silly frilly little girl's name. Couldn't imagine or take seriously an adult called Tallulah.

Violetcharlotte · 03/03/2017 20:33

I like it Smile

MissJSays · 03/03/2017 20:36

I really like it, think Lula or Lulu is a really cute NN too. Shame my DP wrote it off as soon as I suggested it!

ToastVacuum · 03/03/2017 21:38

I like it.

Natalia, Aurora, Amanda and Delilah are nice too, with a similar rhythm.

originalbiglymavis · 03/03/2017 21:43

When DS is being a drama llama we say 'ok Tallulah, keep your wig on...' Must be thinking of Tallulah Bankhead.

Joeybee · 03/03/2017 23:27

It's a bit too out-there for me. But it's a nice name, if you're brave enough, then go for it.
I love Violet, but it's popularity has put me off a little.

BackforGood · 03/03/2017 23:49

Really don't like it. Do feel the need to sing the Bugsy Malone song whenever I hear it. As other posters have said, it sounds far too 'frilly' and fussy to me.

HotSince82 · 03/03/2017 23:54

Does the hula.
From Hawaii.

littlepeas · 04/03/2017 00:07

Prefer Carmen or Violet, personally.

witwootoodleoo · 04/03/2017 00:13

Bugsy Malone, strippers and a lifetime of having to spell your name out to people

Ohyesiam · 04/03/2017 00:14

There sure 2 Tallulah's in m by find very small class at primary school
I think we may have reached peak Tallulah.

Sophronia · 04/03/2017 00:44

I like it

PollytheDolly · 04/03/2017 00:52

I like it. My DH calls my DD (his DSD) that...she's 20 and known her since 17 and it's nothing like her real name.

She rolls her eyes but loves it really.

JudgeJudySheidlin · 04/03/2017 00:54

My imaginary 2nd DD is a Talulah. Love that name so much!!
