My bestie named her boy Reuben about 15 years ago, everyone was, "Wow what a gorgeous, unusual name." Fast forward a few years and half the village is called Reuben. I'd just go for what you like. "Unusual" can't be guaranteed.

Oh I met a little Judah, nn Jude and thought it was lovely. Also love Jonah.

Sillysausage123 · 03/03/2017 14:08

Susie my son is called Judah and we have never met anyone in England with the same name. The name is more popular in America though.
Did you meet the boy in the uk? My son is trying to find someone with the same name as him

It SERIOUSLY gets my goat when people hijack these threads suggesting middle of the road, average, heard everywhere names simply because they are so outdated and plain they are not longer popular with this generation- THIS ISNT WHAT PEOPLE MEAN OR WANT!! You're not being clever by suggesting John or David, how on EARTH are these unusual??! Every office in the country probably contains at least several men with each of these names. Unusual means the OPPOSITE to names like this.

Susiethetortoiseshellcat · 03/03/2017 15:20

sillysausage yes, at a baby group in London. The little boy was 2 or 3 I think. I thought it was really nice.

MrPoppersPenguins · 03/03/2017 16:44

When we had our Leo we had never come across another, we knew nobody with this name. Now it's really popular grrrrr. So as unusual as you think you are being... you never know how popular it'll become after you've used it!
Only seen our next favourite boys name mentioned once on this thread which is reassuring but I'm not mentioning the name or I'll jinx us and it'll become really popular like Leo did!!

Agree with molly, Turbinaria did you read this post?? As all your names are not unusual in this slightest, they are run of the mill and boring, there are 10000s of men walking round with them which makes them usual not unusual. The fact no babies have been called them is because they are everywhere and also rather dull. Angry

HelpmeLee2012 · 04/03/2017 21:28

My little boy is hunter and love the name

loopylulu80 · 04/03/2017 21:30

We aren't planning to have kids but if we did I'd call a boy Gabrielle

LobsterQuadrille · 04/03/2017 22:46

Gabrielle sounds very feminine .... Gabriel?
