Should we stick with a family/traditional name - Thomas?

Or go for something new/trendy - Ezra?

Thomas for me. Ezra does feel a bit trendy. It is cool though.

I prefer Ezra, but also really like Tom, not Thomas. I'm not keen on Thomas, despite knowing some very cute little boys of that name.

Blinkyblink · 16/02/2017 15:36

No help.
I love both!

Dontrocktheboat · 16/02/2017 16:28

Ezra is great.
Thomas is a bit dull.

Ezra Thomas is good.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 16/02/2017 18:05

Thomas Ezra.

Thomas because it has a classic and timeless feel to it. I like Ezra, but I think it is just having a bit of a moment.

Thomas

Thomas if you call him Tommy.

Ezra otherwise.

I used to love Ezra but It's very trendy - obviously there's still more Thomass born each year but I wonder if Ezra is going to end up seeming very of a particular time.
I don't think it's a massive issue so long as you give him both names he can always choose which he Wanrs in later life

reuset · 17/02/2017 23:07

Thomas

TreeTop7 · 17/02/2017 23:12

Both are really lovely but Thomas is timeless. Ezra is very "now", having not been used much for decades. I do like the sound of Ezra though, and the simplicity of its being pronounced as it's written. Tough choice.

ifcatscouldtalk · 17/02/2017 23:20

I like both. My daughter would of been Thomas had she of been a he. If you are still pregnant maybe wait and see what he looks like. Upon seeing him one of the names may just suit him more.

HighHopes16 · 20/02/2017 12:13

Thanks everyone - Thomas is my favourite so happy to see others agree that its a timeless name.
