Hippy type name for a baby girl.

I found out I was pregnant last week.

I am very far on and have next to no time to decide on a name.

I like names that are a little bit hippyish or nature inspired but I can't even think, I have so much else to do before baby arrives that a name is pretty low down on the agenda.

Please help me find something I love before I have a complete breakdown, I'm so stressed out I need something to be in my control.

Thank you Flowers

I didn't think so either MrsMeeseeks. I thought you were just pointing out that the name Hayley wasn't exactly in the hippy name camp.

goldenrachita · 16/02/2017 10:14

What about Eden? It would combine beautifully with a longer middle name eg. Eden Ophelia or Eden Seraphina.

I've always thought Sienna and Savannah are quite 'posh hippy' if you like that kind of name.

Hayley is an old nature name meaning "hay meadow" or "hay clearing". One of the main hippie philosophies was being in harmony with nature.

There weren't lots of Hayleys posting selfies on the internet back in the 60s and 70s, the time of the original hippies.

If you can't see how it was mean MrsMeeseeks then that's fine. I thought the Grin Grin Grin was very mocking of a perfectly valid suggestion.

I always think of Layla as quite hippyish because of the song.

Oh wow, thank you all so much. There are some gorgeous names here. Luna and willow are out sadly as they are names of pets of ours.

I'm loving indigo, eden, posy, celeste, lumen, meadow and saffron.

I have also started waddling and having to wear hairbands around my jeans with long tops to cover today. I think it must be psychological though. I was getting a bit tubby but I'm usually massive in pregnancy, I need to milk these last few weeks for everything it's worth, I feel like I've missed out on being excused for being whingy and emotional and eating loads Grin
