I'm normally quite traditional however the name Eden (girl) feels like the one.
Without offending is this a made up name??
I've not suggested it to my partner yet and feel Eve could be back up but his name is Evan and not sure if it's too similar.
Honest opinions please! I'm open to suggestions but just to note the religious background to names is a coincidence!

Eden is great. Eve is a bit too overused at the moment.

FreedomMummy · 02/02/2017 19:58

No it's not a made up name, it's a Hebrew name but it is mainly used for boys but it can be a girls name.

FreedomMummy · 02/02/2017 19:58

Ignore me!!!! I misread the stats it is mainly a GIRLS name!!! It has also been used for boys though :-)

Eden is definitely a name. I quite like it.

Lilith is a great one if you want a Garden of Eden name but not Eve or Eden.

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 02/02/2017 20:01

Love Eden. Eve is ok.

mrsBeverleygoldberg · 02/02/2017 20:02

Eden.

Eden. Lovely name. Unusual without being off the wall.

KlingybunFistelvase · 02/02/2017 20:33

Eden is lovely! Not made up sounding to me at all. I know a little girl called Eden. She is about 6yo.

GreatScot8 · 02/02/2017 20:43

I prefer Eden to Eve.

It's definitely not made up, although I think it's traditionally a masculine name (more accepted for females now). The Eden I know is now 20.

KlingybunFistelvase · 02/02/2017 20:43

I also prefer it to Eve.

greeeen · 02/02/2017 20:48

Eden is a great name.
I like Eve, however every other girl seems to be called Eve/Evie around here. Depends if that would bother you.

Moo31 · 02/02/2017 20:59

I live in a village called Eden in Northern Ireland :) A cousin in Canada named her daughter Eden 10/11 years ago in honour of the village where her Grandma grew up. I think it's a lovely name!

Moo31 · 02/02/2017 21:01

... and she had this baby grow made for her 1st birthday

Eden??? Eve???
Sugarpiehoneyeye · 02/02/2017 21:44

Love Eden (Edie).

AutumnalLeaves38 · 03/02/2017 05:15

Eden, to me, is a pretty-yet-also-strong name. Win-win.
(And I agree Edie's cute for short).

Nonameyet1 · 03/02/2017 11:23

My new baby is called Eden so I'm a bit biased, I think it's beautiful and lots of people comment on how pretty it is!

Jojo13 · 03/02/2017 13:07

Love Eden, always have but when I met my OH he already had a neice with this name!
