Noah. Really dislike Cody

InfinityPlusOne · 30/01/2017 17:03

Noah. For some reason I think of Cody as a very American name. Not that's a bad thing in and of itself but it doesn't seem very common here and aside from that it just wouldn't be a favourite of mine.

KlingybunFistelvase · 30/01/2017 17:06

Why? For me it's simply that I like Noah and don't like Cody!

Noah is quite popular, but has a pleasant sound and I harken to love a lot of the Old Testament names.

Cody doesn't have a pleasant sound to me and it sounds a bit like a description to my ear; code-y as in code-like! I'm sure that's just me the oddball though!

KlingybunFistelvase · 30/01/2017 17:06

Happen to love*

RedSauce · 30/01/2017 17:06

Seems like Noah is preferred smile any reason why?

Because Cody is horrible Grin

LTBforGin · 30/01/2017 17:07

Cody is too American for me. Noah is quite a solid name I think.

TreeTop7 · 30/01/2017 17:07

Noah. A classy, timeless name.

SirChenjin · 30/01/2017 17:07

Cody is very teen American - like Agent Cody Banks

KlingybunFistelvase · 30/01/2017 17:08

The thing to consider about 'American' sounding names, is how they will sound in your local accent. It wouldn't sound great where I live.

Some 'American' sounding names would sound just fine and that isn't why I don't like the name fwiw. I am American born!

DramaAlpaca · 30/01/2017 17:09

I have a strong preference for Cody, because I really dislike Noah.

SpongebobRoundPants · 30/01/2017 17:10

Cody.

Noah's becoming really popular
