Boys names... again!

Sorry for another post! We are deciding on a name for our second baby boy. We keep thinking we've narrowed it down to a top 2, but can't seem to commit to a favourite at the moment.

Our list is now back up to 7 again, some still from the original list plus some new ones:

Alexander, Oliver, Ryan, Ethan, Adam, Dominic, Oscar

What do you think of the names? Which would you choose?

Big brother is called Matthew :-)

Alexander is my favourite

I like Dominic

Ethan and Adam are on my list at the moment

I think Alexander and Oliver are very popular at the moment which is why these two otherwise nice names are not on my list.

I'm not so keen on Oscar or Dominic but for no tangible reason!

Love Dominic - was on my list, but DH vetoed it. Alexander and Oliver also nice but there are lots around. Don't like the others quite so much.

I like Oscar, Alexander and Oliver best.

Adam or Oscar, I like Ethan too.
Ryan is really not nice (sorry) and the other 2 are just blah IMO.

I like Ryan. I think it works well with Matthew.

Dominic is lovely and not too popular

I like Adam and Dominic.

The others are fine.

I would choose Dominic. I know so many baby Ethans, three of my friends had Ethans last year. None of the others on your list really jump out at me.

I know 6(!) pairs of brothers Matthew and Oliver! I like it too, but what about Owen?

I like all the names on your list.

As to which I'd choose to go with Matthew - I think it would have to be Dominic.

Dominic or Adam

Love Alexander. Dislike Dom/Dominic. The rest are ok.

Matthew and Alexander sounds great!

I would go for Adam, it goes well with Matthew and follows the biblical theme.

Ethan which is also biblical

Never met a Ryan who could behave himself.

Alexander - nice enough, but I irrationally hate the shortening Xander, which would put me off
Oliver - I don't like the '...liver' sound (reminds me of liver). I also don't like Ollie as a shortening.
Ryan - don't like this. This is probably personal though, as it reminds me of some horrible boys I knew as children named Ryan (in the 90s)
Ethan - don't like this and it would get pronounced Eeffun where I live (near London)
Adam - LOVE! Classic, underused and strong
Dominic - really like this too. Love Nico as a shortening.
Oscar - really like this too.

Not to add to the confusion and I know you didn't ask for suggestions, but how about Benedict?

Thank you for your help everyone! We still keep changing our minds about a favourite, but Adam seems to be the one we keep coming back to at the moment. Something about it feels right so I'm hoping it sticks!
