Beautiful name, very soft and sophisticated. I really love Hester too, from the same root.

PostTruthEra · 25/01/2017 16:13

It's a lovely name.

Sophronia · 25/01/2017 16:38

It's lovely, and very underused.

EyelinerAndSpraypaint · 25/01/2017 16:39

It's what I've chosen to name baby if it happens to be a girl.

We can share the name though Grin

plimsolls · 25/01/2017 16:40

I've never liked it, always seems like an old crabby persons name -feel the same about Ruth.
I do seem to be in the minority!

Tokelau · 25/01/2017 18:14

I like it, I know a lovely Esther.

Backhometothenorth · 25/01/2017 19:04

My 5 month old dd2 is Esther - love her name and so glad we chose it- our little star Star

Uiscebeatha85 · 25/01/2017 19:06

Lovely. It's making a comeback too, I know two little Esthers

Ham69 · 25/01/2017 21:43

Love it. My late aunt's name who was the most amazing lady I've ever known.

Dontrocktheboat · 25/01/2017 22:14

Love it - would have been my ds name if a girl.

Joeybee · 25/01/2017 23:26

Stunning. LOVE this name. It'd be on my list if I could sell my Husband on it. Love that it can be used in English speaking and Spanish speaking countries fairly easily. It's known but not overly popular, not do I think it'll ever be overly popular (which to me is a good thing). And people will know how to spell and say it, so your child won't spend their life having to spell it out to people!
