Monty or Gus?

Love Augustus! Montgomery is also nice though.

I know more dogs called Max and Oscar than I do Monty so don't think sharing a name with a dog matters much Hmm

GloriousGusset · 21/01/2017 10:14

Gus.

Monty is only acceptable on a mouse or a Jack Russell. Or a pervy uncle.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 21/01/2017 10:30

Gus. Monty just sounds like a budge

Sophronia · 21/01/2017 11:00

Definitely Augustus. Monty is a bit comical.

Sophronia · 21/01/2017 11:05

I prefer August to Augustus though.

Elbi · 21/01/2017 13:01

Personally I'd go for August or Montague to get those nicknames but from your choices I'd probably say Montgomery.

ArcheryAnnie · 21/01/2017 14:53

Augustus!

Both fab names, though.

Geri Halliwell has just named her new baby boy Monty (Montague) which is a bit of unfortunate timing though I imagine it'll be out of the press in 5 minutes so people will be unlikely to think you're copying her.

(I prefer Gus)

Both good names. I liked Monty (Montague) myself until recently when I imagined saying it when I was at a toddler group and suddenly it sounded strange/watery. Try it!

Luckystar1 · 22/01/2017 08:45

Geri Halliwell (or whatever she's called) has just had a Montague (in case that changes your opinion one way or other!)

EssentialHummus · 22/01/2017 08:49

Neither really. Augustus marginally better.

Joeybee · 22/01/2017 23:21

Montgomery, Monty for short. LOVE it.
I hear Augustus, and though it's a good name, I can't shake of the Augustus Gloop association.
