Help! Boy/girl twins are due in just under a week and my poor little boy is nameless. I love Isobel for my girl (probably shortened to Izzy) and their older brother is Alexander (Alex.) On my sort of list of ideas I have George, Thomas, Oscar and Edward but I don't love any of them except George and DH hates it. Any good ideas?

Thanks everyone, some lovely ideas! I adore Benjamin but close friends and family have already used it. Isaac is also gorgeous - would the alliteration be too twee though? This is so hard ConfusedGrin

How about Benedict ?

strawberrypenguin · 19/01/2017 18:37

I wouldn't have Izzy, Alex and George anyway unless you want people to think you are huge Greys Anatomy fans!

You seem to like traditional names so how about Robert, Stanley, Johnathan, Matthew

AlreadyGone · 19/01/2017 18:39

Jacob?

Don't know why. Just popped in to my head.

GRW · 19/01/2017 19:05

Thomas would be my choice, and it means twin.

I have an Isobel and a Toby.

Other names on the shortlist were Henry and Oscar.

AmeliaJack · 19/01/2017 19:32

I have boy/ girl twins, my advice is please don't alliterate.

It's annoying for all sorts of reasons, mail, official records and marking initials on stuff just to name a few!

Thanks everyone, lots of good ideas! Strawberry, I've never seen Greys Anatomy, the names do seem to go together though. GRW, I didn't know that, Thomas is now on my shortlist. Amelia, is that the voice of experience? Duly noted, thank you Smile

Isobel and Hector
Isobel and Felix
Isobel and Alec

LoupGarou · 19/01/2017 23:22

Sorry Alec wouldn't be great with Alexander already !

LoupGarou · 19/01/2017 23:22

Isobel and Rhett?
Rhett was my second choice name for DS, but DH and I both loved my first choice.

AmeliaJack · 20/01/2017 01:49

We didn't alliterate but I know people who have.

I've been in several situations where the DCs records were sorted by surname, first initial and DOB. That will be very difficult if you have:

Teapot, I - 12/4/2017
Teapot, I - 12/4/2017

PanannyPanoo · 20/01/2017 02:04

I like Oliver,
I think Izzy and Oli sound adorable. As well as being lovely names in their own right.

FrozeninSummer · 20/01/2017 02:39

I really like Thomas actually and think Isobel, Thomas and Alexander sound lovely together - although all your list is nice, think you have great taste

Thatsnotmybabyname · 20/01/2017 07:00

I came on to say Thomas/Tom, as an earlier poster mentioned, it means twin, and I think it goes perfectly with Isobel. Best of luck!
