Due with a little boy and my husband and I have decided on Caspar/Casper but can't decide how to spell it. Which spelling do you prefer?

Caspar, I think.

Lovely name, and I've only ever heard complimentary comments about it (friend has a 3yr old Caspar, spelled with an a).

Best of luck with his delivery! May it be safe and speedy Flowers

Latter.

Caspar. Smile

KoalaDownUnder · 19/01/2017 04:43

I prefer Caspar. It looks 'right' to me. (No idea if it is!)

maitaimojito · 19/01/2017 04:44

Caspar (Casper is the ghost).

TDmoocher · 19/01/2017 08:13

I prefer Caspar but both spellings are 'right'

MiriAmmerman · 19/01/2017 08:52

Caspar would be my preference (I like the way it looks), but both spellings are legitimate and O wouldn't bat an eyelid either way.
It's a really lovely name OP - good choice.

Caspar

Caspar for me too

Love the name!

MarmiteDoesYouGood · 19/01/2017 10:22

Caspar seems more traditional IMO. It's what we're using for our next DC if it's a boy!!

Sophronia · 19/01/2017 15:15

Casper for me

Sophronia · 19/01/2017 15:19

Casper seems to be the more popular spelling at the moment. It's #281 in the rankings for 2015, whereas Caspar doesn't chart.

AML84 · 19/01/2017 18:01

Definitely Caspar - Casper is too ghosty ;-)

hoddtastic · 19/01/2017 18:05

caspar.

I have friends with a Casper- it looks wrong/is wrong.

WellErrr · 19/01/2017 18:06

Caspar.

My favourite name, I've always loved it but wasn't allowed it. It's getting really popular now though!

Jooni · 19/01/2017 18:09

Caspar does chart. It was ranked #702 for boys in 2015, with 47 uses.

Gorgeous name OP, my daughter would have been one if she was a boy. I prefer Caspar but as it's the less common spelling I'd say it's more likely to be misspelt occasionally. If that would annoy you, go with Casper. Both are lovely Smile

BroomstickOfLove · 19/01/2017 18:21

I like Caspar better. It would have been DD's name if she'd been a boy.
