No. Don't know anyone under the age of 45 called Ian.

I'm not keen , it's rather a 1970's name. I am biased as I can't bear the only Ian I know!
Would it go with your surname? To me it's a little dated now.

I think it's a fab name, very traditional strong Scottish name.

It is interesting though to see the Western names that appeal to Chinese people when they approach a name without any cultural preconceptions. Objectively there's nothing wrong with the name Ian but to me it's the name of that dour bloke who works in the IT department and wears his trousers too high. Dated and not very appealing.

Kian is an entirely different sort of name! I like Ian but spelled Iain. Don't know why really, I just prefer the look of it, and that Iain Glen is a bit of alright.

i think it's quite nice, it's not dated imo and a nice name, so many cool ian's. a neglected name imo

I'm sorry I just can't imagine a baby called Ian?
It's along the lines of Keith, Alan, Kevin and suchlike, perfectly good on grown men but a bit dated I think for modern day babies.

All the Ians I know are of my parents generation (50-70 years old now), but actually, I quite like it for a little one now. Makes a change from all the Alfies and Archies.

It's not common as such now but I like it, I think it sounds nicer than it looks written down tho. But I know two very closely and they are lovely men so I may be biased.

It's actually very fashionable in the Southern USA where we lived until recently, along with Graham. I knew a little Ian whose parents were proper hipsters!

I know several Ians, we have three in our immediate family and I like it a lot. A lovely Scottish name.

It's a bit dated but I still quite like it. if you spell it Iain it's the Gaelic for John.
