It's a miracle we have got two names to consider, but wondered what people thought of them.

The second one Beebee.

ClaryIsTheBest · 14/01/2017 13:42

I like both :)

I love Adeline (but actually kind of dislike Adelaide). Beatrix is also really pretty.

Adeline Beatrix would be lovely imo.

I think it's going to be a see what suits the baby when she is born.
I'm more Adeline (add-eh-line) and hubby is Beatrix (he doesn't like Beatrice)

Thank you for your thoughts

Love both and both were on my list for DD. Eventually discounted Adeline due to potential pronouncation issues. On that basis I would go with Beatrix.

CoffeeDiamonds · 14/01/2017 14:44

Thank you Not that's lovely!

AtSea1979 · 14/01/2017 14:45

Don't particularly like either but if you call her Beatrix, people will often ask if it's Beatrix or Beatrice and if it was me that would drive me mad.

DramaAlpaca · 14/01/2017 19:01

I like Adeline best.

Beatrix could get the nickname Trixie which you may or may not like. I really don't, so that would put me off Beatrix.

MontserratCaballe · 14/01/2017 19:03

My granny was called Adeline and was known as Dolly. Sweet name. Love Beatrice too.

Jemimapuddleduk · 14/01/2017 19:08

I adore Beatrix and it was on our list. I have never come across the name Adeline before but I quite like it- a pretty name but strong sounding.

Joeybee · 23/01/2017 09:12

Beatrix is adorable, and strong and I feel it's a name that could grow with a little girl, into a woman. Plus the Beatrix Potter association is ace.
Adeline is nice too and I don't think anyone would have too much trouble with that spelling of it.

buckyou · 23/01/2017 13:01

I really like Adeline. But our surname is Addy so no good for us!

Not massively keen on Beatrix but I do like the NNs Trixie and bea.

MiddlingMum · 23/01/2017 19:44

If a Beatrix was signing her name and then adding kisses, it would look like Beatrixxxxxxxxxxxxxx Maybe not a problem, but worth considering.

EsmesBees · 23/01/2017 19:51

I love Adeline. Have done ever since watching Guys and Dolls as a child. I would pronounce it Add-a-line.

BingThing · 23/01/2017 22:30

I love both names. Also like Beatrice and Adina. I think Bea and Addie are lovely nn too.

thanksamillion · 23/01/2017 22:44

My dd is Adelina which is a Romanian version. Most people pronounce it fine with the occasional Angelina or Madelina. I think the line/lean thing would annoy me with Adeline

indigo13 · 24/01/2017 09:30

I loved Adeline (addaline) since watching the film with Blake lively. its worth correcting people for such a great name
