Elliot.

But it is growing in popularity.

Definitely Elliot

Purely based on the fact we have a son called Elliott! Depends on your reasoning for the name, we have a one syllable surname so wanted something longer which wasn't routinely shortened. His dad has a one syllable first name and surname and it always sounds quite abrupt to me!

Elliott is my least favourite, not that it's an awful name. I just Elijah and Elias a lot more.

All lovely.

Elijah

Elias
Elijah

Elliot

I also like Ezra and Ezekial as E names.

Great names. But how are you pronouncing Elias? I always thought it was El-eye-us but I have met two children called Elias recently who pronounce it Elly-us. So like Elliot but ending in S.

Anyway I love Elijah and Elliott but both are getting quite popular, as is Eli. I know 3 children under 5 called Eli, two of which are actually Elijah. I also know an Elijah who doesn't shorten it.

(I work in schools hence I meet a lot of children!)

I find it funny everyone is saying Elijah is so popular, my DGS (8 weeks old) is Elijah and my daughter has been told so many times ''I've never heard of that name'' perhaps it's just not popular in Scotland.
