Are these names too similar for 2 female siblings (full names Katherine & Matilda). Kitty is name of our LG, baby on the way....
Thoughts welcome x

The full names sound good together. Could you call her Tilda or Mattie instead of Tilly?

UnbornMortificado · 20/12/2016 19:55

Tilly is a lovely name.

(Not that I'm biased or anything Grin)

They sound nice together I have a Tilly and a Lottie. Full names Matilda and Charlotte.

sonlypuppyfat · 20/12/2016 19:57

The full names are lovely, I don't like shortened y names if that makes sense

Bodypumpaddict · 20/12/2016 19:59

Love Lottie but feel again too similar to Kitty Confused

Other options-
Millie
Molly
Beatrice (my fave but my LG has a little friend called this)
Nel (don't really like Eleanor or Penelope though and I would want to give her a longer name
Belle (Isobel)

Boys name will be Jim (James)
Confused

Why not. It's cute.

1horatio · 20/12/2016 20:10

Katherine and Mathilda nn Kitty and Tilly is gorgeous. :)

1horatio · 20/12/2016 20:11

But Beatrice is lovely as well.

Sophronia · 20/12/2016 20:12

I think they're fine together, especially as the full names are quite different.

Adultingishard · 20/12/2016 20:13

Nel can also be a nn for Helen... Kitty and Tilly sound fine together though!

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 20/12/2016 20:14

I hope you have a boy Grin. I love Jim.

I like Belle, but I think Tilly is fine.

Bodypumpaddict · 20/12/2016 20:21

Oh I like Belle too! Confused
Very confused and hate not having names sorted.

Kitty and Tilly? Let's hope no one gets the TTs and LLs mixed up...

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 20/12/2016 21:15

Very nice.

SirNiallDementia · 20/12/2016 21:23

If you like Nell, you could use:

Helena
Fenella
Ellen
Annelle

Bodypumpaddict · 20/12/2016 21:26

Well I've never had s Tollie or Litty as of yet. Il keep an eye out Grin

MilkybarMars · 21/12/2016 01:26

I love Kitty! However Tilly is very popular I know quite a few! On its own and as a form of Matilda.

How about Peggy? Short for Margaret. Or Nancy? Or Annie?

I love Beatrice or Beatrix... Trixie or Bee?

Good luck!

Artandco · 21/12/2016 06:11

Helena -Nell, Lena, Leni
Mathilda - Hilda
Leonora - Nora ,Leo, Leah, Leni

Nonameyet1 · 21/12/2016 11:23

They are lovely and not too similar at all.

Jooni · 21/12/2016 11:47

I don't think there's a problem with those together at all. Katherine and Matilda are gorgeous full names and it's a nice bonus that both lend themselves to cute childhood nicknames.

I do prefer Tilda as a nickname for Matilda though - Kitty and Tilda would be fab!

user1482217471 · 22/12/2016 02:33

It's fine!

Jigglealltheway · 25/12/2016 20:19

Stick with those names, they are beautiful. I highly doubt anyone could mix up Kitty and Tilly unless they are a bit slow!
