Struggling with names I like to go with surname (boys & girls)

So I have a few names I like but struggling to find anything I like with our surname Ellison. The fact that it starts with a vowel and has the double L makes anything ending in L a bit difficult which is annoying as that is a lot of the names I like!

Here are the names I like for a girl:
Lucy
Abigail
Isabel
Natalia
Evelyn (too many E's and L's!)
Heather
Jessica

And for a boy (struggling for boys names I like to be honest):
Nathan
Lucas
Ellis (but obviously that is ruled out!)
Daniel

Do you think any of these work and do you have any other suggestions based on these names?

I think they are the names from your list which work best with your last name. I feel your pain as my surname was an issue when naming our daughters too.

For a boy I think Joseph Ellison would sound really good if you like that, or Thomas, Henry, Isaac, James, Joshua... From the ones you've listed I think Nathan sounds the best with the surname.

For a girl I like Lucy Ellison or Jessica Ellison best from your list. Lucy is lovely, top of my list as well. Other ideas you might like... Freya, Madeleine, Charlotte, Phoebe, Sophia, Grace

I see what you mean. Ideally I think you need to rule out Lucy, Isabel, Evelyn, and all your boys! Dan Ellison sounds fine, but daniel Ellison is clunky.

Lucy is my favourite at the minute of the girls names I think. I like Jessica but when I put it with my surname I think of Jennifer Ellison for some reason. I like Phoebe but I'm not sure the 'E' works and I love Sophia but my best friend has a Sophie
