I am in Sydney and I live in Willoughby. I would never consider it as a first name, we have Willoughby leisure centre, Willoughby park, Willoughby shops etc.

No.

WhiteHairReally · 16/12/2016 21:47

I had a very handsome teddy bear called Willoughby.

Staranise123 · 16/12/2016 21:49

I don't like Will at all, it's a verb and one letter from I'm Willy!

Staranise123 · 16/12/2016 21:50

Sorry from

Puremince · 16/12/2016 23:36

I thought of Sense and Sensibility too. It's a cad's name.

SuburbanRhonda · 16/12/2016 23:40

Willoughby Goddard (deceased actor and voice ofFox's glacier mints).

He was an old friend's dad and had a very commanding presence. I like it for that reason.

CharleyDavidson · 16/12/2016 23:41

First thought? Poor sod having to learn how to spell that name when he first starts writing.

Reality16 · 16/12/2016 23:41

Oh sad we like Will, but not William...

Call your child WILL then Confused

NiceFalafels · 16/12/2016 23:44

Love it! Also Wilfred wilf

Sweets101 · 16/12/2016 23:44

Love it!! Makes me think of Wolves of Willoughby Chase, excellent book by my favourite childhood author

Sweets101 · 16/12/2016 23:45

Don't call him Will! That's a nickname

Staranise123 · 17/12/2016 09:55

And a verb. Will, will you....Hmm

Ohyesiam · 17/12/2016 10:31

Read Sense and Sensabiliyt, it will put you of nicely

Hayls17 · 18/12/2016 09:28

I like it! It does remind me of Holly though if that matters to you.

DeepanKrispanEven · 18/12/2016 09:34

He'll get really pissed off having to spell it out to people constantly for the next 80 years.

twattymctwatterson · 18/12/2016 09:54

No the one from Sense and Sensibility was an awful shit

Darthvadersmuuuum · 18/12/2016 10:06

Going against the grain as usual Grin but I like it.

Pigeonpost · 18/12/2016 12:18

I quite like it. But I love Wilbur and Wilfred.

MiddlingMum · 18/12/2016 19:47

No, just no.

CorporeSarnie · 18/12/2016 19:56

What is the matter with Willoughby wallaby? Why is he sobbing and throwing a wobbly?
Wilf is lovely, William is ok, but to me Willoughby, especially if you don't intend to use the full name, is a bit of a mouthful.
Love 'ouch in my pouch' though... Boingy boing boing to the blue billabong.

Figgygal · 18/12/2016 19:59

I Love it
My 21 year old imported convertible was called willoughby but not sure I would have been brand enough to call ds2 that though
