Thank you very much.

I prefer Cody over Brodie. But I see Cody as a girls name. I know male and female Brodies. I prefer Corey but you didn't ask that!

bojorojo · 13/12/2016 15:21

Of all the names, in all the world ............

Alisvolatpropiis · 16/12/2016 19:56

Brodie

PaulineFowler- I though Brody Dalle too. Not a bad person to be named after at all! I actually really like Brody for both genders.

1horatio · 20/12/2016 07:42

I prefer the meaning of Cody.

To me, they're both unisex. I know a couple of girl Brodies (one late teens one early twenties) and only one boy Brodie (toddler). Not that it really matters.
I think I prefer Brodie, just slightly, Although it doesn't look good written down imo.

hoddtastic · 20/12/2016 12:29

neither.

RortyCrankle · 20/12/2016 12:51

Oh NavyandWhite and hoddtastic you'll be told you're being goady and unhelpful - not allowed to say neither as I did earlier in the thread.

Neither is to my taste, but Brodie is ok, I know a little one and it's grown on me.

If it helps, I would agree that it's more a boys' name but you can't just stamp your feet and argue that it's not unisex when there are clearly lots of examples of female Brodies!

SirChenjin · 20/12/2016 13:08

Brodie by miles - love the name. It's traditionally a male name, originating in Moray in Scotland.

CauliflowerSqueeze · 20/12/2016 13:12

I like both. I think Cody is slightly more American, which I like!

1horatio · 20/12/2016 13:22

Rorty

Well, if we're talking about likes and dislikes... I don't like either.

But if I had to choose one I'd go with Cody.

Shesinfashion · 20/12/2016 13:25

They're both dreadful.

TataEs · 20/12/2016 13:31

cody
however cody is a kids name... i find it hard to picture adult cody...
brodie is a more life long name imo, and it reminds me of brodie from that tv show (not helpful at all sorry) so that's cool... i just don't much like it

user1482217471 · 22/12/2016 00:54

Brodie

Marcipex · 22/12/2016 08:10

I can only think of Miss Jean Brodie.

All the Codys I know are girls.

So I don't want to be rude, but neither, sorry.

SVJAA · 22/12/2016 08:12

Codie is a girls name, Cody is a boys name.

Marcipex · 22/12/2016 09:00

Ive never seen the ie spelling. I know two girls called Cody.
