Opinions on Margo?

I like the name margo what are your thoughts, i think margot looks too much like maggot so not keen on that spelling.

Not only does it look like Maggot but it will often be pronounced Mar-got.

So yes, Margo is better if you want that pronunciation.

I don't like it. It's harsh, and I don't like hard 'g' sounds.

I love Margot! Not hugely keen on the Margo spelling, but it's still a lovely name imo. I prefer Margaret though which is one of my all time favourite names.

No it's not a real name. Margot is nice but if you've ruled that out keep looking.

Isn't Margaret like a name for older ladies? It's hardly a come back classic.

Margot hmm, not my choice but it's the in girly name on Mumsnet lately. Again sounds too old lady for Me. Sorry op maybe it's the area I'm from, just never heard of it other then for an older lady.

I have a Margot, so obviously I love it, only ever had lovely comments and shes yet to be called maggot (to my face) and when she's naughty I go full on "MARGARET!!"

Love it, but love it even more if it's spelled Margaux.

I love Margot. Margo looks a bit silly imo.
