Middle name for Aurora?

DD1 is Iris Luna, nn. Irie, named partly for DH's grandmother and partly for our favourite song, as well as other sentimental reasons.

We have decided that DD2 will be Aurora, nn. Rory, as DH proposed to me in Iceland while we were watching the Aurora Borealis, or the Northern Lights. The only problem is we can't think of a middle name, and would quite like to have one.

We like Aurora Rose, but we think there'/ too many "R" sounds, especially if she ends up being called Rory. We also like Aurora Violet, and I like the image that conveys in my head of the Northern Lights! Any thoughts on this?

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

I like the R sounds together. Aurora Rae?

My friend has an Aurora Dawn. I'm not convinced though as it sounds a bit like calling your daughter Mary Marie.

I personally think it needs to be something short and simple for balance.

I know a little Aurora Rose and the name works well. I've never thought it had too many r's.

Yes, as previous person said, Aurora Borealis for sure.

UnderbeneathsiesTheMistletoe · 18/12/2016 03:23

I'm afraid you just cannot call her Boring Alice. Grin

Eve is a good one.
Lily
Agnes
Amber
Stephanotis

Or go for something like
Temperance
Charity
Precious

I think a Nordic name like Freya gets my vote
Or Bjork

If you want to go all Nordic/ elven Tolkien, Arwen might fit.

Make sure you call your next baby Mariana, for the watery trench.
You can't have all the names relating to astronomical phenomena.
