I'm due in a week and no names have really jumped out at us so far. We've both got large families and done a lot of work with children so there are lots of names we think are nice but just can't use.
So hit me with your best suggestions!

The criteria:

  • MUST be able to be shortened
  • Doesn't start with J, S or R.
  • Not currently overly popular (no Evie, Ellie, Ava type things!)
  • Not too out there, the rest of he family have normal English (/Irish) names.

Names I quite like but we can't use are Harriet (Harrie), Theresa (Tessa), Bethany (Beth).

Please help!

Thanks everyone. Lots to think about.

Particular favourites from your suggestions are:
Katherine
Madeline
Cassandra (already tried this one on DH but he's not a fan Sad )
Philippa (it's growing on me)
Charlotte (but I'm worried about it being too popular because of the princess?)

In case anyone cares it's a pet hate of mine that baby name posts never have a conclusion we went with Caitlin (Cate for short at the moment)
