DH and I are TTC DC2 (not right now - I'm not that good A multitasker Wink).

Just day(evening?)dreaming and thinking of potential names for the hypothetical DC2. Any ideas?

Thanks all!

That's so funny bornto, she was very nearly Amy and would have been James if she'd been a boy!

Really like Anna, Max, Kate, Rachel and William too.

My best friend's name is Emma, and her brothers are Thomas and James.

FortyFacedFuckers · 29/11/2016 21:57

The Emma I know has a sister called Megan.

user1471461752 · 29/11/2016 21:58

Not Anna as sounds so similar to Emma. My first thought was James.

KlingybunFistelvase · 29/11/2016 22:01

I think my favourites of the suggestions are Rachel or Reuben.

Weirdly, I've gone off James a bit, though we would have called dd James, had she been a boy.

What do people think of Margaret (Maggie)? Does it go with Emma or not really?

I like that Emma has a literary connection as well, which is partly why we chose it. Would it be weird to choose another literary name to go with it?

not a fan of Margaret but Rachel is lovely ! I like Anastasia as well... i've spent too much time thinking about this for someone who is not having any more children.

Xmasfairy86 · 29/11/2016 22:13

Jane.

KlingybunFistelvase · 29/11/2016 22:19

I LOVE Anastasia! Would people immediately think of "I'm outta love" though?

I am also massively overthinking, since I am not even slightly pregs!

Jane was also on our list with DD. Not sure why it was vetoed, but it was.

I knew twins called Emma and Kate.

I also knew another little Emma who had sisters called Kate and Annabel. So Emma definitely comes with a Kate! Grin

For boys I think James or Harry goes nicely with Emma. Has to be a classic name, just like Emma.

DoYouRememberJustinBobby · 29/11/2016 22:30

Zoe, Ellen, Alexander, Cora, Eleanor, Natalia, Elizabeth, Nancy

Stephen, Caspar, Matthew

KlingybunFistelvase · 29/11/2016 22:33

Eleanor and Ellen are possibly my favourite girl names ATM, but i can't use them annoyingly Angry.

Caspar and Annabel are nice too.
