"Maria Jane" as a middle name

Thought that we'd finally decided on a name for DD.

She would have two middle names: Maria Jane. Love the name Maria & Jane is a family name. But I just realised that it sounds like Mary Jane (marijuana)...

I think it's fine, they both are nice names.

I'd never heard of the association you mention until your post so that would go right over my head.

Also, they are just middle names so it won't matter a bit.

You could change them around & use Jane Maria if it bothered you too much & if that combination still sounds OK with the first name & surname.

First thing I thought when I read it, it's nice though, and it's middle names, so you won't be shouting it in the playground, having all the Katie hopkinites thinking you're a stoner

Oh please. 99 people out of 100 people would not have a clue that Mary Jane is slang for hash. Maria Jane it will rise to 999 out of 1000. But that aside, how many people will ever learn her middle names?
